I thought we might have a thread were we could discuss the movements in the transfer market, QPR and non-QPR.

Having transfer gossip, news and done deals in one thread should make for better and longer discussions and debate.

If the mods think it's a good idea then please make it a sticky so it is easy to find, or if it's not welcome then shoot it down in flames :)
 
I'll start it off with a signing made by Watford that I wouldn't mind seeing us do instead if it were not for us being to midfield heavy already.

Watford have signed former Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis McGugan on a Bosman free transfer deal.

rumour townsend can go, thats one we need to get, maguire sheff utd up & coming promising player worth a try, strikers i'd like to try & get rhodes or austin, well thats a start.

Not sure why folk think Townsend signing for #QPR is such a long shot. Always been a very strong chance of it happening this summer.

Incidentally, McGugan was strongly recommended to #QPR - twice - when he was out of favour at Forest under Billy Davies a few years back.

Townsend was very good last season. He would have been awesome if he'd put one or two more away. He was one of the few players who could come out of last season with head held high. Yes please, Harry.
 
What was the outcome of his gambling hearing? I never really understood whether he had done something against the rules and/or he has a gambling problem.

If he's available I would be surprised if one of the newly promoted/lower half prem teams don't go for him. The pull of London, Harold, and 'the project' would have to be strong for him to come to us. Unless we just stuff his mouth with gold of course, but I'm hoping those days are gone.

The FA said he's 5:2 on to get off the charge after he promised to donate all winnings over 10K per night, to the FA Benevolent Xmas Fund.

i think this should be a non QPR thread, our gossip will just get lost and Id rather see a headline of a player joining rather than have it buried in here somewhere.

Of course, players linked to us should have their own threads. Think it got lost in translation in the OP, this was mainly meant to open debate around various transfer rumours that were non-QPR and maybe see if we thought they should be QPR etc. So that we could be able to discuss the going ons without opening hundreds of threads with just a couple of reply's to each.
