I have to say this transfer window is so tedious. Talksport have gone on about Suarez, Rooney and Bale all summer and I bet none end up moving. So much gossip and made-up stories, it started off quite interesting but I can't wait for the window to slam firmly shut.
I see Bury have signed 17 players within the close season so far... Nobody is complaining that they're buying a Champions League spot.
And Arsenal have let 17 go and signed a nobody, so much for the £100 million burning a hole in Wenger's pocket...
Anyone heard any more on Conor Wickham or the young Moroccon winger from Liverpool whose name I can't remember?
Barnsley have signed Norway striker Marcus Pedersen on a season-long loan deal from Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem. The 23-year-old, who has won two senior caps for his country, led the line at this summer's European Under-21 Championships, starting in Norway's 3-1 victory over England. He played in Vitesse's first two Eredivisie games this season, but was left out against Roda JC last Saturday. Pedersen spent last season was on loan with Danish top flight side Odense BK. Barnsley manager David Flitcroft has been openly pursuing striking reinforcements in recent weeks, having failed to agree a fee with Hull City for Aaron McLean. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23788612 Fantastic signing by Barnsley. Exactly the one we should have made. He will get them 15 goals this season, watch this space.
