Yes Tony we do want him and still do,hopefully as we are his preferred choice he will still come knowing he will be first choice.
Mike White on Radio Humberside has said that change of ownership does not change the fee restriction windows, only a successful appeal can reduce it.
Perhaps because things are not as bad as the pant pissers are making out based on what they're mates mate in the shop are telling them?
Fact.. from the EFL website
If a Club is found to be in breach, then the Club will be unable to pay or commit to pay any transfer fee, compensation fee, loan fee, or any other form of payment when registering any player from the date of the breach until it expires at the conclusion of three full transfer windows.
This means that if a Club breaches the 30-day rule during a transfer window, their Fee Restriction will cover the remainder of that transfer window plus the three full transfer windows that follow.
Unlike an embargo, a Fee Restriction isn’t lifted upon payment of the outstanding debt, but can be appealed by Clubs.
Clubs can ‘staff up’, so they have 23 Permitted Players within their squad.
Clubs are able to ‘staff up’ to ensure the integrity of the competitions remain and so that Clubs are able to fulfil their fixtures.
- Clubs are only permitted to ‘staff up’ by signing players on loan or players not registered with another Club
- Clubs cannot pay fees to acquire loan players and cannot pay additional wages on top of the salary the player receives at their parent Club
- Clubs ‘staffing up’ may only register players until the end of the current Season, whilst loan transfers can only be for half a season

It's looking as if we might do well to hit the woodwork next season....A bit OTT I know, but I've got a feeling it might not be that bad!!! It's called blind optimism. How many more late payments are going to come out the woodwork?

Oxford had their three-window fee restriction reduced on appeal to a £3,500 fine and a two-window suspended sentence which allowed them to sign players for fees last season. They argued their case as being due to an isolated administrative error.
Be interesting to see what City’s defence is during the appeal.

I can’t shake the feeling this the start of something rather than the lowest point.
Think with what's being suggested regarding multiple clubs/ organisations owed money the key wording in that is 'isolated administration error'. I fear we're up sh1t creak without a paddle
I agree.

These are the factors the Disciplinary Commission will take into consideration when judging whether the initial sanction was disproportionate.
Personally, I don’t have much hope and I think City’s lawyers will have worked miracles if they come away with no immediate fee restriction. I think Buckingham said the Barry loan fee was close to 100 days overdue and it appears us not paying the fee on time was intentional rather than inadvertent which I think would work against us.
Burnsy has the knack of asking the question but not coming across a **** in doing so.
Well most of the time anyway. McCann couldn't stand him.
How has this been allowed to go on?
Its complete incompetency at best
Companies mostly stretch payment times it’s not incompetence it’s deliberate depending on cash flow - except in this case the consequences are dire on occasion. How has this been allowed to go on?

Based on the timeframe given by Buckingham, it seems like the Barry fee should’ve been paid at the end of February and the 30-day grace period was up to the end of March.
The only thing I can imagine working in City’s defence is if they had a written agreement from Aston Villa to delay the payment until the summer.
Because some of us try to be optimistic and not totally pessimistic which is as bad the other way .The way people’s concerns get disregarded as ‘bed-wetting’ or ‘pant-pissing’ on here really is a talent. Putting a spin on the three-window fee restriction as ‘well, it could be worse!’ is amazing. Seriously, some have missed their calling in life as editors for Pravda.

No smugness here son. I'm not the one praying for the club to go bust so I could be proven right. Weird.I like how you’re being smug as if a fee restriction is actually no big issue and a ‘win’ for us. Really committed to the act. Admirable.
