I may have missed something, but I take it that the Iceman 2 deal is off, if it was ever on, so to speak.....

Go over to the Mackems board...they really really want him. think he is the bees knees. Works hard, plays with passion....Poyet wants him too.
They are pissed off that they think we will get him

I just wonder...perhaps he is some good

Borini would be a cracking signing. The knowledge on here is baffling sometimes.

Borini 13m!!!! Hardly sets the pulse racing with his scoring record. Surely we can do better at that price.

Well we would just have to wait and see. I know one thing NO one on here figured Borini would be a QPR target … why? he never was until today. Harold's sweet shop

SWP has signed for Ken Dodd's diddy men on a contract for extremely short useless people.

One of the fittest players in the league. He would bring workrate that would shame Mackie. Something that us fans loves to see, big difference is he got the skill set to match his workrate. Great shot and a decent finisher. Strong mentality and very solid penalty taker.

Always admired him since his loan days at Swansea in the Championship. He has enough experience of the english game to succeed for us. If he signs I'm confident he'll soon change people's minds on here.

're price he has already commanded big fees at a young age, £10-15m is not a gamble as we would get most back if we decided to.

The knowledge we probably all have is from seeing him over the last three years be thoroughly bang average at the highest level, and questioning why we are spunking an absolute fortune on him. He's young, he might get better. Beyond that I am a bit baffled. I can only hope he makes most of us look like absolute planks when he scores his 15th of the season.

I cannot think of anyone else we could buy instead of him, maybe the club cant either and so something is better than nothing... Awful lot of money though. Insane

in harold's defence the Remy thing has thrown a proper spanner in the works. Yes we should have contingency plans for every eventuality I suppose but when players are sold at the drop of a hat it'll throw the best plans laid into disarray. Plus with certain signings taking ages (like the Ajax lad) its very difficult to know exactly where you stand. After all we're not the only club scrabbling around on deadline day. However, i do take your point that it all feels rather ramshackle!!

I believe you are 100% correct. Doesn't mean he won't be a success though.

Forgive my ignorance, but who are these people? Are they really going to talk for 6 hours?

I think Deeney would have scored more goals than Borini (no rhyme intended)

I actually forgot we sold Remy for around 10m... Scouse maths equate the Borini fee to be closer to £3m now. That doesnt look half bad

Cech....why when we've just signed McCArthy as Greens number 2??? Sounds like the sweet shop in DT's earlier analogy might have opened another branch....

I read we were offered him before we signed McCarthy - I gathered we'd said no thanks.
