're price he has already commanded big fees at a young age, £10-15m is not a gamble as we would get most back if we decided to.

I think we would have been interested in Borini when it looked like Remy was heading to Liverpool. But at the time it looked like he was nailed on to be rejoining Sunderland, hence why we were looking elsewhere - namely at the Iceman 2 (who didn't have a glittering goal scoring record either)

Petr Cech could be on his way out of Chelsea after 10 years service – with QPR making a bid to sign him on a season long loan, according to reports.

I really hope that's just click-bait.he was a phenomenal keeper, but a) he's declining, and b) his wages would be astronomical.

Cheers for that, he sounds really good <ok> The bit in bold is what excites me the most. A 23 year old with a great engine is hard to turn down- given our usual penchant for aging donkeys.

These are the QPR press team, Iain Taylor/Paul Morrisey etc. It's usually an hour long, and I'm hoping they reveal some info about signings at some point/grab a word with Phil Beard.

Cheers Grif. It's a big ask to be entertaining for that long while sticking to the company line. In a way I hope they let it slip and we here a few 'oh no, not him's " and '**** me, that can't be right's'. Also hope they are allowed to announce officially who we have signed as a little reward.

Ah, it sounds like it'll only be 30mins one today. That's a shame, they announced the Vargas signing on air a few weeks ago. And on previous Deadline day specials, the likes of Mike Rigg /Phil Beard have been on giving info about transfer progress.
 
Didn't Borini give sunderlands relegation scrap some impetus last season by scoring some vital goals, he looked to be their "go to" player when they needed a result......

They offered 14m for him earlier in the summer.....

Think they're hoping to do another one later. Too early to be pulling any of the negotiators away from the phones.

Apparently it is true that Scum did offer us first dibs on Cech. Means absolutely nothing. I am sure there is pile of e-mails/faxes three feet from clubs/agents offering players.

Don't know much about Borini but Sunderland fans are furious: twitter comments along the lines of: 'why would he want to play in front of 18,000 when he could be playing in front of 40,000' etc. Which must be good as they obviously rate him!
