Come on guys can't you see it, whats the point of a pissed off Charlie, Seb n Pav round the place, their better or worse qualities are irrelevant if they're totally frustrated with no game time. There's more to a football team than what happens on the pitch, I'm beginning to think half of you have never been in one.

exactly my point notso <ok>

why am i not fearful of our next 4 matches..thats what bothers me more than this transfer bolox!

Oh right, I see what you mean now.

Nevertheless though, I still can't envisage Spurs finishing any higher than the position they are in now. You're definitely in with a shout for the Premier League title, but I think the two Manchester clubs are the ones who will battle it out right till the end. I think Spurs & Chelsea will make up 3rd & 4th but in which order depends on how Spurs deal with their tough run of games and if Chelsea can get a string of good results.

With that being said, I think most of you would have taken a 3rd place finish in the league at the beginning of the season, if it was offered to you. 3rd would be an excellent achievement, given your wage structure, the lack of funds in comparison to United, Chelsea, City etc and dealing with your best midfielder in turmoil over Summer.

I'd agree with all of that <ok>

FFP rules to consider, 100k a week contracts to sort for existing stars, cost cutting had to happen, I think people will see it eventually, except Don Tottenham...he's probably slit his wrists! <laugh>

I must agree with Notso I think we wanted to get the players who weren't playing out on loan and cut our wage bill in the process.Pav going is no great loss as in the last few games he played, well he might as well not have played. We've got players in who don't break the bank, will do a job and won't effect our main starting players.
The only downside to the window was not getting rid of a few more.

Saha on a 18 mnth deal...i thought it was just up till the summer....West ham will buy him in summer..and in one big clean swoop pay all the wages we will have paid him plus give us a tidy 1 mill profit.....good move Levy!

Well said NSS <ok> And as various people have pointed out, cost cutting is involved in this.

We are probably looking at a loss this financial year, this should help minimize that loss.

Naturally it will be a blow if we lose Walker for games, having released Corluka. But we do have players like Kaboul and Livermore who can play there.

i dont think there is a username that honours Defoe..so that should be the net striker you honour maybe SuperPav???

Saha? Nelsen? Haven't Spurs enough injury prone players?

Amazingly, we dug one up from our youth team - Lancaster had a couple of years worth of injury setbacks before and after he joined our Academy.

If we do sign Nelson as a free agent, it's not too bad a signing - he's pretty dependable, a battler, and he's good in the air. Certainly on a par Samba in his style of play, without the inflated wages or transfer fee.

Don't supposed the South American window remaining open means we'll agree a deal with Leandro? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?

I'll give it some thought, I'm still in shock about losing my footballing idol though! <laugh>

SoSoSaha is very tempting though, I might have to steal that one!
