Yan and BWP for me tuesday night.Tranmere a bogey side happy with a draw .
We wanna win the league but its 3rd spot we got to distance ourselves from and we`ve moved another point ahead of wednesday.
I thought at the beginning we would draw this game, wish I'd put money on it now! but ohhh well a 1-1 will do it for me one step closer to promotion and thanks for the ratings and match reports tewks and cafc4ever it is great for the people (like me) who couldnt be their today but know how the team as a whole performed!
If haynes didnt perform with Kermo i guess its only a matter of time before BWP starts scoring again and I back him against Rochdale and any other team 100%!

That may have worked, Captain B but the quality of the ball from midfield was so poor that all that happened was that Kermorgant became a marginal figure - he had nothing to lay off unless the ball came through the air from deeper. In any case, if we're going back to a primarily ground-based game, IMO Hayes' game is stronger on the ground than Kermit's. The problem about bringing him back though is that he's getting almost no football, he can't possibly be match fit.

Hi guys- just to add a few points/thoughts from the game.
When was the last time we created anything through the middle? Nothing wrong with chucking crosses in, but when that's not working you try and get as near to the oppositions D as possible.
Hamer had another top game. Since the Sheffield game when he came in to some criticism, it's fair to say he has won us several points.
I'm not going to judge the Haynes/kermo partnership on that one game, as we had no balance in mid. Very disappointing not to see evina start on the left (or at least waggy on the right with green switching flanks).
Jonjo and ecclestone were there in the stands. They looked as dissaointed as everyone else.
The game- pretty much been summed up. VERY slow start, got back in to it, tranmere had another go before we went for it. Whilst I think I've probably rated kermo as my MOM for 5 of the last 10 odd games, I think Hayes deserves another shot up front with BWP. It goes back to my first point about playing through the middle. Hayes dropping deep forces us to play in the floor, as a long ball would be wasted on BWP to battle for. It's been 3 months since either has scored, and I must admit to being disappointed with BWP being the man to make way as I thought he was the better striker in Tuesday.

BWP made it clear earlier this season that he loves playing with Hayes up-front, why not give it another go? I'd also bring Waggy in. While he's not as skilful as Green I think those 3 could at least start to provide a working combination up front.
Not a bad shout FHB. The irony for me is that I remember sitting at Milton Keynes last September screaming at CP to get Hayes and Wagstaff off and put Kermo and Green on! We thought they were the missing link back then. I think Kermit is absolutely brilliant but we do seem to be less fluid without Hayes (who must be mightily pissed off to be 5th choice striker now). I worry a bit about the match fitness issue. For that reason I wouldn't start with both Hayes and Waggy as I want Hughes to play and he's rusty too! OnTuesday I'd go with Hughes and Hayes. I'd rest kermit and Hollands and have Waggy on the bench. If Green can recapture the form he showed eg against Carlisle in the first half then great. If he doesn't then he gets the hook and Waggy can have a run.
Apparently, I was mistaken.
The Sunday Mirror made him our MoM and put him in their 'League One Team of the Week'.

Did anyone who went to the game get a feel for how many Addicks were there yesterday? It sounded like about 5000 at one point, but may have been slightly less...as we only sold 370 tickets in advance, I'd guess around 470-500. it's usually on the O/S, but not this time.
Talking of crowds, here's a worrying statistic.
There were ten games in League One yesterday - no less than seven of them had crowds of less than 5000 and overall this season, more than half the clubs in the division had average home crowds of less than 5000.
It makes you wonder how some of them are surviving.

I'd say less than 500, but I haven't seen an official figure.
I feel for the tranmere fans- the few who I spoke to before the game seemed resigned to the fact we were going to walk it. Even when they took the lead, the odd silence suggested they had no faith they would see the game out. Isn't that 10 games without a win now?

I feel sorry for Waggy,I really do not think Green is any better at all and after his pre season exploits he`s been abit of a let down for me.
Saw BWP fluff a chance on the highlights but in general we aint created many chances per game very few i`d stick with BWP up top to be honest and Kermo,its the midfield that isnt performing to their potential BUT saying that we are drawing some winning some picking up points when going through a bad spell ....we will get out of this form slump sooner rather than later and sow up the title before easter

I think Green is a better all round player, but Prichard shouldn't have got the nod over waggy y'day.
It's sods law! Green is an infinitely better player that Waggy when he is on song but it is all too intermittent. If we could cross the two of them and have greens skill and crossing ability with Waggys heart and industry we'd have a stonking player!

You could just see that there was no balance y'day and it invited more pressure on the middle pairing an full backs who were constantly battling. We had a right winger on the left and a CM on the right. if we insisted on green playing left wing, would have been better to have an out and out right winger on the right.
Wasn't there yesterday so comments come from previous matches and watching what little highlights the BBC deemed to show. We missed jacko today and he is a class act both as captain and player, but putting Pritchard in his place was clearly not the right answer. Pritchard is fine in central midfield and his industry and drive certainly works in that role but not on the wing. It would have been more sensible to bring in Evina or, as suggested elsewhere, have Wagstaff on the right and Green on the left.
I feel for Wagstaff since I don't think he has done much wrong this season, merely being overtaken in the role by a player that was brought in and "had" to play. Green and Waggie are both comfortable on the right whilst Waggie has the advantage that he can move more centrally Green has the positive of playing on either wing.
When does Russell re appear for us? I thought he played well in the centre and like Pritchard could be used to mix up the play in the centre of midfield and deliver some balls on the ground to Kermit and BWP. On the front pairing, Kermit is a class above Hayes, but that doesn't mean he doesn't need a rest occasionally to refocus. It might be nice to have both Hayes and Haynes on the bench on Tuesday, but that may be a luxury the 5 bench rule does not permit.
The Tranmere game had 1-1 written all over it and may be a pivot point in the season if we don't come back and thump Rochdale on Tuesday night.

True: I had us down for a 1-0 loss so am quite happy with a point since according to the commentary we were poor in the first half and improved in the 2nd.
BUT
I've seen too many end-of-season slumps not to be getting twitchy at this time of the season, whatever our position.
To be honest, Billy, it would be one hell of a slump for us to give up 12 points (when you consider our vastly superiour goal diff) PLUS 2 games in hand in next 16 games (for us) or 14 games (foe Wendy)
