No that's is scary! I went to Wheeler until I was about 8 or 9 I think so until about '81/2.

I also remember of the little alleys and cut throughs rather than ten foots. Also playing on "field" which was a tiny scrap of land by the railway.

I think that was called Cleggs fields (or maybe that was the name of the waste field next to Amy Johnson.

Blimey I was next street along Clyde St, I was down there a couple of weeks back having a nosey around and our house is still standing, just, so I went down Greeky and its just a large open space as along Cecil St and Rhodes St its all gone. I use to know every passage way linking Greek St and Cecil St as I was a paper boy for Dobson's down Greeky, there was even a tenfoot at the bottom of Cecil St through to Rhodes St. Another bit of useless information whilst I'm rambling on, nothing to do with football I know but does anyone remember that Persil?, Daz?, Oxydol?, can't remember now, detergent advert on the old b/w tv showing 'Shining White St' ?

Well that was the next street along from Clyde St and during filming no one was allowed down the street which pi**ed me off as I couldn't deliver my papers and the filming took 3 days. Funnily enough even though large area's of Hawthorn Ave have been bulldozed White St is untouched and still looks much the same as years ago. And yes I went to Wheeler St school when Ostlers bakery and the Bluebird sweet factory were down there. Think I'll shut up now :)

You're right about White Street. I think even the Mackmans was still at the top of that street until recently. They sold Devonshire splits from memory.

Any one slags off Lonsdales and they'll ****ing regret it.

I'm livid at the very thought

It's a bastarding liberty.

Sleeves? The lad knows f** all

Aye, I can kind of understand the hostility towards tattoos now. Those look f**ing dreadful; the red makes it look worse. Tattoos have to be black if they have any chance of looking decent in my opinion, but if he likes them and his bird/bloke likes them then I doubt he cares. Like Brady said, a lot of girls are attracted to sleeves and the beardy lads that sport them.
