Yes it's at the County Ground Roo, so home tickets available from Swindon. Spurs have been given an initial allocation of 600, but Swindon have said they can increase this to 3000 if the demand is heavy.
L'Equipe are claiming that Belhanda's changed his mind about joining Kiev and now won't sign for them. Awkward... please log in to view this image
maybe being given the number "90" shirt made him feel that he was a little too far down the pecking order..
Apparently their next target is Alex Pritchard. Personally I believe he deserves a move to a higher division, but we'll see.
At the risk of sounding stupid - Does anyone else think Belhanda looks like he should be playing for us? As in his actual appearance. Maybe it's just that he looks like someone merged Caulker & Dembele into a single person. Or that I'm at work seriously bored. Not bothered about missing out on Bernard looks way, way, WAY too lightweight for the EPL from what little I've seen of him.
Yeah, I read that on the site of a local Swindon paper. I agree that he should be looking to play in the Championship, at least.
If Spurs think these players have a future at the club then perhaps loaning a number of them to the same club is a strategy they want to go with. Time to bond as team mates, learn to play together etc etc
Well there is that, but I have always considered that for a player to be taken out of his comfort zone and to stand on his own 2 feet is an important part of the development.
Odd development: Chairman Darragh MacAnthony has claimed Tottenham Hotspur have blocked Peterborough United’s attempt to sign Alex Pritchard on loan for a second time. MacAnthony wrote on Twitter: “We want him and the boy wants to come to us. Spurs insisting he goes to Swindon. Nothing we can do I’m afraid.”
Our miserable excuses for strikers (Defoe, Dempsey & Ade) scored 23 goals in the prem last year, 35 in all competitions. Considering they played half the time or a bit more, that's not bad.
It's funny how often things like that happen in football, isn't it? I'm sure it's just confirmation bias, but still. Sandro on Paulinho: “I just have to say 'Welcome to Tottenham', Paulinho. I am very happy. I'll try to do for him the same thing Gomes did for me when I first arrived. When I came here, he was the guy key to me adapting. If Paulinho needs it, I'm here to help. "I think he has everything to do well here... Paulinho will help us become even stronger, for sure." Good to hear. Both players seem pretty grounded and it shows that Gomes' image as a nice guy has some basis in truth.
As there's little discussion going until someone actually bloody signs, I guess there's only one thing I can contribute to Not606... please log in to view this image
