Top Dogs

The crummy title the Mackems love so much is once again NOT theirs.
Given those of them larging it recently I thought I'd put that out there.
Just saying.
You knobsack. Nothing to be proud of. Both our teams are dreadful and you wonder why the rest of the football world will read your post and think "Pathetic"?
Id rather be not the top dog this year than having been the laughing stock of the Premier League<doh>

Get away man, had you finished above us you lot would have been swarming on here like bees around the honeypot.

Come on, you are Sunderland. You know it will all go tits up sooner or later :emoticon-0110-tongu
Your probably right Dorty
On this seasons efforts both need to have a long hard look in the mirror and learn from. Mistakes or we'll be in the same position come May 16
Work with a few Newcastle fans so glad you did it today and let's face it the derbies are probably gonna be only interest we have

Don't think so - check out the comments about the Top Dog thing that were made before yesterday. Jeez, if that's your definition of success you have a few decades of disappointment in front of you. Set your standards low and manage to attain them by the skin of your teeth - what a formula for success!

Dave, you are right mate. Both clubs have had awful seasons. Our excuse is Mike Ashley. But Ellis Short seems no better! It seems he can do little wrong. When are the Sunderland masses going to demand more and rise up against him? You can't have another season like this one (or the past two or three to be fair).

Being top dogs is the sort of thing I think we can only celebrate if/when we get our house in order. I know its only banter, but it's meaningless if we're just celebrating not being quite as ****e as someone else (and not sure that's even true on recent form). I'm just pleased we survived. There isn't a Newcastle fan out there who wouldn't have swapped places with Sunderland at lunchtime today.

I personally didn't give a **** about who finished "top dogs" this season, because neither of us have any reason to feel proud of how our seasons went.

We got a last day survival win, and Sunderland have had to AGAIN change their manager and AGAIN fork out a **** tonne of cash to stay up.

Woe betide sunderland if they ever get relegated with their wage bill.

So I guess we take the title of the least **** team in the north east, but it's funny to take the "title" from them, because it shows how ****ing pathetic they are that they'd see top dogs spot, even in this season, as a victory. I suppose it's all they have.

Sunderland will always be inferior to Newcastle.

Finishing above our local rivals is hardly a definition of success. Indeed, we know we've had a poor season (again). However, there was always the chance that we'd finish above you so it seems convenient that you'd say you're not bothered. Get away, man, you'd love to finish above us, poor season or not.

And of course, we love finishing above Sunderland but real success for us would be qualifying for Europe again.

And don't you know, fat Mikey claims he is gonna take us there <laugh><doh>

I hope the fat barsteward does. At least one of our useless fookin clubs could have something to shout about. I do suspect that your trip to Europe may be pre season friendlies in Poland though <whistle>
