massive lack of urgency is the problem, im all for patience but passing it along the backline, then to mckenna, then back along the back line in the 90th minute when a goal down is a joke.
fair enough for sticking to principles, but theres a time and a place, sometimes youve got to stick a centre back up there and lump it in, we are not barcelona and he is not guardiola, sometimes you just have to play like a championship team!

You were sat right behind me <laugh>

Right at the back around seats 415-425ish?

you have no more chance of promotiom than us but do you really want to scrape into the prem and make your first target to beat derbys all time low points score?
we will meet again next season in a competitive league where really virtually every team has a chance---if only the officials were as good as the teams because we have had some ****e refs and linos this season and todays ref wasnt even giving a free kick when danns won the ball today but hulls "professionals" surrounded and harrased this weak man until he got the red card out-----shame on them and I wish cruciate ligament injuries on them all

Getting the ball first doesn't stop it being dangerous which is what a red card is for in this situation. So which part of this two footed challenge don't you think was a red card then?

I will grant you that McKenna flew in and was off the ground at one point as well, so he could have ended up walking for it as well, but the thread for posting bollocks purely to wind us up on is either the one on your board, or the banter thread I started the other day, that I think has dropped down a couple of pages.

no i was right in the middle, not surprised i wasnt the only saying it tho..
im very disappointed today, even more so then tuesday...once again its no disgrace losing away at leicester but its the way you lose..
we where handed a lifeline by the referee and refused to even have a go at taking it, there keeper must have expected a late bombardment and he may as well have not been there..
i dont want to have a go at barmby, as i was one of happiest when he was appointed, but i dont understand why the wingers dont run up the wing, why nobody shoots, why fryatt was put in midfield, why he stands there motionless at times while all this is hapening , why we where promised attacking football and we are currently just as dull to watch as when flathead was here!
anyway, think ill go for a beer now ..

Danns deserved to go. No complaints

Everybody knows 2 footed tackles are red card regardless of weather you get the ball or not

I dont understand why so many players do it because they know they wont get away with it

I must admit at times on Tuesday night I felt bored with the play. Passing sequence seemed to be the same all the time which other team must susss out easily.

Well whoever was behind me said the exact same things you said on this thread pretty much word for word <laugh> I think everyone was thinking the same though if I'm honest <ok>

The central striker in our formation really needs to be very direct but Fryatt always goes backwards.

Fryatt is not suited to this role. I've been Nick's supporter until today but now Im just fuming. Matty clearly NEEDS a tall/powerful striker alongside him. He took his goal bloody well today... but that's really the only sniff at goal the lad had. He's a centre forward having to go 30 yards away from the goal simply to get the ball! Sign either a tall striker who's not aged 35+ or sign a midfielder other than Koren who can play a through ball!

We got the best out of Matty when he was playing with Steve Howard. I was surprised how deep Matty was playing today

He's the lone striker, and he's playing deep?

Normally he's right up top with nobody supporting him. Have we found a whole new way to not score goals in this formation now?

When you was attacking he spent most of his time just outside of the D. I was surprised he wasnt in the area as thats where he is best

I know today might not be the best of matches to judge you guys on cus it seems you guys did have an off day but i thought the system you played prevented you from scoring more then the lack of strikers. Nice passing but to casual and tentatitive rather then quick and incisive.

you were going well until the cruciate ligament part..

although i agree that the hull players where disgraceful i think wanting them all to get injured is disgraceful also. yes players should get punished for surrounding the ref but almost every team does it. though i can't remember off the top of my head im sure we've done it also at some stage this season also. I think mckenna was lucky his tackle was punished but because danns had gone over the top it made his tackle look less servere.

I'd agree that the refs are ****e but that's all bollocks. It was a ridiculous tackle going in that high and McKenna just got up because yes he is a professional. You could see from his calm reaction he knew Danns would walk for it and he didn't need to exact his revenge. As for surrounding the ref, the cameras must have missed that part, all I saw was Beckford trying to turn it into a fight when no one was really interested in him <laugh> One of the biggest criticisms aimed at our players this season has been that they are too soft and not clever enough with refs, you couldn't have picked a less appropriate set of players to say that about.

As for the Derby thing, people said we would do a Derby last time and we stayed up. Then those same people who couldn't accept they were wrong started trying to make out we were such a massive joke for only lasting 2 seasons. The recent promoted teams have shown the PL is nothing to fear. Any team who goes up either makes signings to compete or they come down mega rich. There's no doubt that promotion for any team in this league would be brilliant.

probably best not too, as im very angry and would probably go too far, like blaming dawson for the whole defeat, despite me usually sticking up for him.
everybody knows dyer is left footed and you keep him on the right, all except dawson of course, the 2nd goal came on the momentum!

Completely agree with this. I only heard it on the radio at first but it sounded absolutely stupid and having seen the replays my opinion hasn't changed. I can't see one reason why you'd pick Dawson instead of Dudgeon.

God knows, it's madness. Did you see Cisse against Sunderland? What the hell was going through his mind?

Good honest post but I really don't see what the 'disgraceful' thing was. Hardly anyone moved.

most of your team did surround the ref. tbf beckford could have been sent off if hobbs played upto his push although it wasn't to the face cisse got sent off for something similar the other week. mckenna didn't make a meal of it at all probably because his tackle was also poor but most off the hull team did start trying to manipulate the ref to help themselves out of a losing situation luckily for us you guys were toothless.
