Always a shame when an otherwise good thread degenerates because of an idiot from another board. Citeh 'doing a Rangers' would amuse me.

But back on topic, to me this to me seemed like the best of the 3 friendlies so far. More competitive and some decent performances. A good run out for a few of the lads and really showed what a difference some of them make when they came on 2nd half. From what I've seen, Obertan + Vuckic sholdn't be getting too many games once the season starts for real.

Promising displays from Bigi, Tav + Mehdi though. Future looks good.

Yeah, I always thought he was a full-bck, but he's proven he can cover centre as well. We seem to have quite a few 'versatile' players. May prove essential once we're fully into the season with injuries, suspensions and fixtures piling up. Can see Tav pushing for a place in Europa + domestic cup games.
 
Vuckic should go out on loan again to try and get some more experience. The potential is there, and he's got the left foot, but he just seems to struggle for pace and control.

Tav looked solid, though I think he was largely aided by playing alongside Colo. If he stays fit I think we could have a great defence next year, especially if we get another CB.

Gosling looked better than he has done in the past for us. Obertan still has to improve a lot. Sammy is definitely a player I'm looking forward to see. Seems to have a lot of flair, and look more confident on the ball than I've seen of him in the past.

Overall, a good performance, especially against a virtually full strength side.

I don't mind honest criticism if there is some thought and content in it. I might not agree, but I'm always interested to hear other well thought out points of view.

I don't mind a bit of banter either, as long as it is actually funny.

That comment was neither however.
 
Some notable performances tonight from some of the youngsters, thought Tavernier was pretty solid at the back apart from punting it at every opportunity.

Thought Abeid when he came on looked great on the ball and very sharp with his passing, scored a lovely goal aswell.

Sammy looked great at times, I dont rate him hugely but if he can keep putting little plays like that in he will turn into a decent player.

I've said from the very start that Vuckic wont make it as a prem player and he still hasn't done anything to change my mind, just seems to be a player that has no real position, floats in and out of games mostly out contributing little going forward or going backwards.

Think Bigi looks quite sharp but I wasn't particularly impressed by his performance today, seemed to shy away from tackles and gave the ball away quite a bit, you can tell just by watching him that hes got talent though, I'm quite hopeful about him.

Was just thinking, he hasn't posted on the rep brothel as regular as he used to. Been stocking rep up so that he can take a few hits.
