Not the same type of player as Benny, but I can't quite put my finger on him.
Is he a CDM or a CAM?
They are supposed to be ahead of us in preparation yet we were the better team towards the end. Certainly ahead of where we were at 12 months ago.
Liking the look of Bigi / mini-Tiote's distribution. For a young lad he seems to have a good eye for a pass and a decent range. We were a different team with the likes of Cisse, Jonas, Mehdi + Ameobi's. Obertan + Vuckic don't quite do it for me.
Good thinker, good ball control, good distribution. I saw a lot in him the first time I saw him play. I think he's just being nursed through at the moment.
Think that was a great competitive game, that sort of intensity will do our players good fitness wise
I missed both goals coz my link went down, what was Medhi's like i've only seen him score from outside the box so far...
To be honest it wasn't great defending, but good strength to hold of a player, then a decent finish. Not bad.
Their goal was a shot from 20 yards. This little player on their side was taking long shots all night, and his last one went in. Questionable goalkeeping from Elliot, but nothing that you can really criticise him too much on.
