That's fair enough he 'might' or 'has been' or 'looking like' are completely different to saying something IS.
These are the words of someone that is close but unable to simply confess that his original assessment of the player was wrong. I wouldn't care if you guys picked longstaff I'd have been guilty of hypocrisy but you didn't have the brains to pick an accurate argument. My assessment at the time was correct. He WAS ****. Past tense. Now he IS playing well. Present tense. But he may BE **** in future. Future tense. All sentences are factually correct.
I didn’t rate ASM. He plays 30 games, plays **** in 23 of those, goes off injured in 4 of those games and in the final 3 games plays world class football for ten minutes per game

I never said he'd win that .. I said psg were interested and he ended up there which was correct. Is he now useless because he's not good enough for PSG ? I don't think so , but I'm not bothered anyway we're not fighting relegation now.
