well said

Can, salvo, Sturridge, Coutinho and possibly Mignolet and Allen are the only ones that have done themselves any justice.
The he rest of his buys have been very poor with a couple like Markovic and Moreno needing more than a season to show what they can do given they are young.
Its t's the forwards that have been the issue, Lambert, Borini, balotelli, assaidi. All been very poor.
You never know I suppose, if we want one of them then be proactive Rodgers has to live with it, if a player is not performing then Rodgers will consider his future. If the manager isn't performing the owners have to consider a replacement and I don't see the problem with sounding out his replacement.
Out of those Borini was an early stopgap, could have been sold for profit. Lambert is a temporary backup, could have been sold for profit. Assaidi was a young player with potential, was sold for a profit. Balotelli was a late gamble after Rodgers said he wasn't coming, still worth keeping for another season IMO and if sold the loss won't be huge.
So I don't see why Rodgers is to blame. Who was it that couldn't convince Sanchez/Costa etc.?

Who was to blame for not convincing them? Rodgers...?
As long as you don't end up with egg on your face when a loud mouth uses said name to get a better contract where he is... see marseille example... or ajax. deschamps and de boer made us look chumps.
Yeah but if we genuinley want one of the said managers there's no point messing about approach them and see what happens, if we're sticking with Rodgers keep a close eye on his targets and tell him to get ****ed if he wants to sign ****e like Balotelli or young potential.
Who was to blame for not convincing them? Rodgers...?
Wouldn't work. Why would you employ someone who you have no faith in with regards to transfer dealings? Get someone who you can put your faith into....someone who has a good track record. Or forever put up with this type of rubbish!
cout 8.5m sahko 14m? 9m. 31m, those 3 cost 5m more than Lallana. 11m more than Lovren.
Somethig to be said for looking for quality in Europe over average overpriced PL players from a team that finished 6 places below you

He's been very hit and miss, not all his transfers have been bad but for every good signing there's a toatal disaster some middle ground would be nice.

middle ground is Can. Good player took a while to find a role, still isn't in ideal slot but showed what he can do and what he is about... the felling is there is a lot more to come from him.
Coutinho is our one top signing and talent as PFA nomination shows.
there are 5 bad to every good.
I mean sahko, coutinho and can are about it for me. the rest all in the average category. i think his iddle ground is actual average players like allen, mingolet and the like.
It says it it all that people were crying for reina and ageer to stay as he pusehd them out the door and the team patently missed the,.... i'd contend that skertl, henderson and lucas were major driver of the success of 3-4-3 this year and really rodgers after 3 years was filling in round the edges and relying on his 3 good buys too.
Who is the big question? Not a lot out there to chose from and there's no certainty in that Rodgers replacement will be great in the transfer market.
I'm sticking with Rodgers unless one of the 2 mentioned are his replacment.
I'm only really happy with 2 summer signings from last summer. Gvien how many we brought in, that's pathetic.
People slagging Sturridge for being injured suddently forget the number of games Agger ever played in a row.
And Reina had burned his bridges on his own.
