Possibly, the basis of a good squad is there and it is young. Will they improve under Rodgers? Will he get rid of the right players? Will he bring the right players in?

The same questions apply to any new manager and there's always a risk that this new person will also get it wrong.

I will understand the decision to let Rodgers go if Klopp (I'm a little concerned here but understand why he would be a popular choice) or Simeone (My choice) wanted to come to us but outside of this I would be very concerned with lets say a Klinsman or someone similar.

Simeone would be amazing. Klopp would be good......he's had a poor season by his standards. If we forgive him that, then perhaps rafa's poor final season with us could be forgiven :bandit:

Realistically though, which one would come?

No, that article is from today.

Despite his poor season which continued with a blank against Chelsea at the weekend, Liverpool are thought to be keen on bringing him to Merseyside. With Raheem Sterling's future uncertain, Daniel Sturridge's injury concerns ongoing, Rickie Lambert making no impact and Mario Balotelli's struggles, the Reds are in desperate need of reinforcements in the summer and believe Falcao could be the answer.

<laugh>

All wum aside, the lad was quality before the injury, but he's not shown anything to justify the kinda pay he would want, he'd be the biggest earner at the club.

Too much of a risk, can't see it happening at all mate

Wish we'd risked on him over Ballo this year though! <ok>

what, 4 goals for 20+ million is better than 4 goals for 9 million? 16m/4 years = 4m for this year + 5m wages for this year.

Different players and team mate.. <whistle>

He could have scored 10 for us instead of the 4 (remember he didn't start that many matches. he would have for us).

Not the same player and lets not forget, the chap is 29, no spring chicken, not all players have longevity. That kind of injury probably came at the worst time in his career.

I can't see it either, just the agent flying a kite I reckon.

He'd have got more of a run out in our team though. I just reckon he'd have been a better fit for us than Ballo. Neither player paid off for either club....the way Utd have played, Ballo would have worked better for them too <laugh>

it better be:mad:

I might be tempted if he was 27, but he'll be 30 next season and that imo is why United have said **** off back to Monaco

<laugh>

Don't forget they've barely picked him either, so he can't be showing much in training either.

Unfortunately, he's goosed.

Falcao, will be 30 next year, Van persie is 31 and look at how he has declined since turning 30

No ****ing way. Don't want more money spunked up a wall

I agree, that cruciate injury finished his career at the top, mind you, I think going to Monaco actually finished his career at the top.

Who wants to play in front of 20 people like <laugh>

I'm not saying buy him <laugh>

I'm saying given the choice between Buying Ball for £16 plus wages. I'd prefer to have taken the risk with Falcao.

I'd have neither now!

You never know I suppose, if we want one of them then be proactive Rodgers has to live with it, if a player is not performing then Rodgers will consider his future. If the manager isn't performing the owners have to consider a replacement and I don't see the problem with sounding out his replacement.

Let's hope Klopp bring Reus then <ok> <laugh>
