I think that Tonda is benefitting from having an experienced coach beside him in Ben Garner. Who knows, it may have been the latter that advised him to ditch the 3 CBs.
Many other factors in our turn around in form, Bree, Larin, Peretz coming in, Charles coming back from injury and Ross staying fit but Tonda deserves full praise for his management of the squad, tactics and in game management in this unbeaten run, he really is learning fast.

I think all of us were perfectly hesistant about appointing Tonda. On paper, it was not what we needed at the time.

And I think all of us are happy to be proven wrong.

Yes I was in the “ give him a few more games before we decide “

And the wheels definitely wobbled for a while !

More than happy to be proved wrong though .

After all , there’s a first time for everything .

He turned the form around initially with Bazunu in goal and no Charles or Stewart. Let alone Larin, Bree and Peretz.

Happy to be one of the Tonda supporters from day 1, his crazy eyes have just always done it for me.

Whatever happens over the rest of the season, even if we fail to go up; the thought of going into next season with this manager, and this squad, is very pleasing.

I think it very unlikely we go in with this squad, just a question of whether it is (hopefully) significantly better because we have gone up or a fair bit worse because w haven’t. But yeah Tonda should definitely have earnt the trust of the fanbase

I just struggle to see that many leaving, mainly because of what we will want for the fees. THB we will want north of 20m, Charles too. Scienza is the most likely, I'd say, but even then, I think it will take a lot to prise him away. Even if we were to lose those three, that sort of money in the Championship, can bring in some decent replacements. Harwood-Bellis would be the hardest to replace.

Coventry City managed to keep hold of all of their players last season despite finishing 5th.

Coventry didn’t have the wage bill/expenditure we do though. Without looking I’d guess we are spending about doubly what they were last season. We should be helped with the likes of McCarthy, Stewart, Taylor Bree, Smallbone etc all being out of contract and moving on Ramsdale. Who knows maybe that will be enough and we can keep the others.

Agree about Charles/THB maybe being priced out of moves, but be interesting to see if anyone bids about £20m how much they kick off about it. Jander has also been attracting interest, then you’ve got the Larin/Peretz situation and maybe signing them permanently. A load of players out on loan as well to deal with

Think it's probably safe to say the appointment was met with some scepticism, some "lets see", some outright "no" and a lot of resignation and most of us were wrong in some capacity.

Now the big question is can he do it in the prem on a cold night in Manchester?
