If we had won these last 2 games playing like we did at QPR and against Wednesday I would still be a bit concerned about him getting the job but the work he put in with the team over the last international break has been remarkable.
It is a team completely transformed and playing exciting fast football, creating loads of really good chances and actually scoring a few. The defence has tightened up too with only the one soft goal from a corner conceded. I still say that if we don't have to make a decision yet then why not let it ride but i wouldn't be alarmed if we gave him the job permanently now.

The defending probably hasn't dramatically improved, just that now they don't have to defend as much due to the team as a whole endeavouring to attack

There are elements of Russball in what Tonda wants Saints to do (play it out from the back, lure the opposition out) but we also look to get it forwards much quicker and we don't keep the ball for the sake of it. Tondaball is fun and fast. Russball is just tedious and slow.

And let’s hope his methods continue to show the outcomes we are getting used to. What I would say is I would be happy for a 10+ game run which (hopefully won’t) might see a couple of defeats and from there we might get the true picture as to his reaction along with the player’s attitudes in such a circumstance.
He’s doing so well but as others have said to rush now might backfire in the cold and long weeks of winter. SR must realise that they have a poor record in appointments and hopefully will, in time, make the right decision. It’s all to play for.

Yeah I would have preferred they wait and see how they respond to that loss tbh. If we now have three poor results this week then the pressure will be on immediately and everyone will be right on SRs back again.

Just seems daft to me. If they'd have done it after Leicester it'd have made more sense but to do it now just heaps the pressure on massively imo.

Also the problem with giving him the job based on 4 games is that could they also lose faith based on 4 games?
