Quiet areas will always be quiet, the west stand is full of coffin dodgers and the south is full of young kids and families, they're always gonna be quiet areas.

It may be the same people making the noise in each area but because of the acoustics of the stadium having two sound sources makes the noise much louder, not to mention making the away fans sound quieter.

The east sounded just as loud as the east ever has and the north was added to that.

You're a bitter old **** and your pointless drivel is invalid. You're just making up bullshit because you've thrown all your toys out the pram and are baring a grudge like a 5 year old on the school playground. Grow up FFS.

Shock, horror, attention seeker posts inflammatory abuse in lieu of having a point.

Reflect on the highlighted paragraph, that's you that is.<doh>

Never heard the North stand so loud (from the West Lower)...Stoke were loud in very small patches but that is to be expected from their away support. Other visiting teams won't have their following this season.

People in the east stand E4 unhappy about sitting next to away fans need to grow a pair! Never been to an away game?

I sit in E4 and didn't see anyone complaining, the atmosphere was great. I could hear the north stand just fine. The only time Stoke drowned us out was when they did that Tom Jones song. I bet they out sing most home crowds with that.

Same old drivel from the whiney old dullard.

Get exposed so resort to an even more childish playground tactic of "I know you are but what am I".

You'll be echoing everything I say soon then going round saying I have the lergy.

Except Santa won't bring you any presents this year if you carry on. That will shut you up.

<laugh> Your contribution is childish abuse aimed at blocking broader discussion. It's like a small child with its fingers in its ears.

It's nothing much to with 'sitting somewhere slightly different'.

People claiming it as a 'success' are actually agreeing the other stand was quiet.

The noisy groups yesterday were the noisy ones from last year, this move has done nothing to alter that. If the move was to improve atmosphere, it's clearly failed so far. Effort should have been on the quiet areas, which are still quiet.

West stand were as quiet as ever. No new noise was created, which was the plan. The noisy people are just nearer to you. As you like atmosphere, you could always either move to one of these bits that need a pair growing, or get a singing section started in the west.

The west stand is a library yes...and getting a chant started is almost impossible (trust me I've tried). Too many flaskers, day trippers & dullards. However the North stand's singing will catch on and I'm sure the West stand will join in sooner rather than later...just need to give it a chance.

So, efforts would have been better spent encouraging that, rather than just moving noisy people nearer.

As long as that's clear now, as there's been implications you speak on behalf of others.

It's a shame we don't have anyone there representing fans rather than individuals representing their own egos and agendas. It's too easy for them to hide and obfuscate.

theres a lot of people seemingly intent on finding something to moan at .
Myself i thought the atmosphere was on the whole good , certainly better than last season and before that .

The East stand/North stand chant sounded better vs Tenchin (from the west stand)
From the East (Stoke) it didnt have the same effect as i was amongst it , pretty sure its about acoustics and your seat position .

Clubs needs to get right behind the safe standing idea ,although the police wont like it as people are freer
to move among each other .

I wouldnt be at all surprised to find each of us on a facial recognition system somewhere :/

I'm in the North now, N2.

I quite liked it. The view is good, still most of the characters around and generally, a good atmosphere.

It's hard to tell how good the atmosphere is when you're in east, but it did sound a lot better then last season. 19:04 chant was very loud and proud.

Slightly OT but aren't the scanners on the turnstiles better?

At certain times the atmosphere at the KC rocks, yesterday was one of them. Due in no small part to the sending off and going one nil up.

I find advice to those in E4 to grow a pair a bit insulting. For the first time they came face to face with their future. For a group of people who chose to sit in E4 so that they were no where near the away supporters to be suddenly lumped next to them is a bit unfair to say the least. Some will have sat their since the KC opened. They should, at least, have been asked how they felt before the decision was taken. I bet a number are dreading being drawn at home to Millwall in the cup.

I stood in N3 and could hardly hear those in the East Stand. We can a couple of choruses of You're not East Stand anymore and Are you West Stand in disguise in response. I don't know what happens to the sound but it doesn't travel well around the ground. Where I was it was noisy, but we have two choir leaders, the ulltras in N2 and another group in N4. At times they competed against each other.

We had the same problem as last season, the songs didn't last very long.

The real test will come when we go one nil down. Do we have enough singers to make a difference. We struggled last season, apart from the 19:04 chant, will we struggle even more this season with our singers dispersed over two stands. Yesterday we scored first and had something to defend, which we did well for all but two minutes.

For me the jury is out, the success of the move will be seen when we hit adversity on or off the pitch.

I think some people are going over the top about how good the atmosphere was , I suppose it's because for the last few seasons the atmosphere at the KC has been pretty bad in general , without the name change protest last season there wouldn't have been any noise
