Think that is a myth is it not? I do like it that the word lunatic is derived from the moon though
Without fail if I worked in a casino on a full moon there would be a fight or massive freak out .
The police put on extra numbers .

I used to always think it was true, but then I am sure I read a few years ago that it was a myth. When I was younger, I am sure more people got lifted by the police on a full moon.
That's general crime.
Maybe it's just drunks that get more violent during a full moon , casinos, pubs , nightclubs etc ?

Yes. Based on an unknown (at the time) predilection for certain disturbed people to act funny on a full moon. Misunderstood at the time it got blamed on supernatural bollocks.
The vampire myth also started by complete misunderstanding of human physical/mental conditions.
