Really sorry to hear this. Tobes has dropped by the Leeds ‘politics’ thread - I use that word loosely - from time to time and dished out some forthright, intelligent views to the angry dissenting locals. Seems like a guy with good values and beliefs. Thoughts with Tobes and his family.

Keep fighting Tobes, you’ve endured enough years on here so I’m sure whatever you’re going through can’t possibly be worse than that. Hope you see all these messages and they give you strength to recover, even if it’s just to get back to lay into everyone

I will never forget the kindness and good advice you gave me when I was really struggling .
I don’t know what to say , I just hope however long you have left , I hope it’s with your family and other loved ones , and you can enjoy that time .
I don’t want Everton to get relegated as MRS Jaspers brother in law passed away unexpectedly , and he was a Toffee’s fan
I now have another very very good reason to hope they stay up .

Absolutely horrible news. Only just seen this, but devastated to read it. I echo all of the comments already made.
I didn't really come across Tobes until the mafia games started up on the Pool board, and I only ever dip my toes in and out of the prem board, so can't say I know him all that well. From what I do know he is never shy of putting forward a point of view or backing himself in an argument, but also does it with intelligence and rarely seems to hold grudges. He comes across as a top bloke with a passion for justice and fairness. He has also shown far more patience than I thought he had in how he has dealt with all of us dickheads on this board.
I hope you get to read all of these comments Tobes and realise how highly regarded you are on here. My thoughts and best wishes go to you and your loved ones. If anyone can keep this fight going then it's you!!

Best wishes Tobes, despite past disagreements on this forum, hope you pull through fella….. I myself am going through problems with the old “ walnut” ( at the bone scan stage after digital, MRI scans and biopsy last Saturday ) which is why I am airing my dirty washing here, for any of you guys that notice a change in your water works
