Best wishes Tobes, despite past disagreements on this forum, hope you pull through fella….. I myself am going through problems with the old “ walnut” ( at the bone scan stage after digital, MRI scans and biopsy last Saturday ) which is why I am airing my dirty washing here, for any of you guys that notice a change in your water works

All the best Mick <ok>

Wishing you all the best, lost the FIL to it, as he left it to late, Uncle had it, thankfully caught early enough and it was removed and he is now fine.

All the best to you, Mick, mate.

Not been on in ages.. gutted to hear this.. was my favourite scouser. Was even thinking about him last Sunday, as had an argument with an Evertonian in the pub who seemed to like Liverpool too much and got deeply offended when I suggested that the European cup was less of a feat when Liverpool won it a lot.

Genuinely awful thing to find out. Not sure what else to say really other than the good ones seemingly get taken far too early.

This is the last of what I know, this was back on the 23rd Feb 2022 from Tobes, quote:

I’ve recently been told the chronic illness I’ve been living with for nearly 4 1/2 yrs is now terminal & I’ve only got a few months left.

I’d always chosen not to talk about it on here, as it was my one true escape from it tbh, but I was diagnosed with advanced kidney cancer back in late 2017. I had the kidney removed within 2 weeks & to start with they thought it might not be too bad, but within a couple of the months of the OP they’d discovered it had spread to my left knee, left pelvic bone, lung, some lymph nodes & my brain. Wasn’t looking too good after that lol, but somehow with a combination of procedures, machines I’d never heard of & the latest drugs, they’ve somehow kept me going until now. My oncologist has been truly incredible tbh, really gone out of his way for way me over the last few years.

Sorry mate.

I mean I knew the chances were not good, but now knowing the details I fear the worst already.

Really I got on very well with Tobes.. We bickered and went after eachother in mafia games, but in the end became good mates on here.

Anyway it's very sad news and it's him and his loved ones that matter.

I will harbour hope until there is none.

Yikes. That's not good. So chances are he's already left us if that was sent back in Feb. :(

If he is still out there, I hope he's comfortable as is humanly possible, and finding some enjoyment in his life despite his illness. The most important thing for everyone is happiness as that's what makes life worthwhile. I'm glad he lived to see his granddaughter.
