Let's all just calm down and find a common middle ground.
Trophies? We Want Them
Trophy Drought? We Hate It
CL Qualification? Happy We Made It
Chavski Winning CL? Slightly Peeved to Furious (Depending on Person)
No Spurs in CL? Happy
Arsenal? We LOVE The Club
Summer? We Need To Buy and Keep Robin
Deadwood? (Denilson, Almunia, etc...) GTFO

This is so funny, if I had a penny for everytime one of you guys repeated that same bull **** line, I'd be a millionaire. Can you explain to me, because you didn't answer my Q, why hasn't this happened for 7 years now? Why do we repeat the same line over and over, and nothing changes for the better? Why did we collapse in 10, 11? Why did we have a sh!tter in 09? Can you explain all these failures please? You're saying one thing, yet I see another, I see constant failure at winning things, constant failure of showing composure and bottle, so why should anyone believe anything's going to change now when all we have seen is the same rubbish for the past 7 years?

I have no idea why we've bottled it the past few seasons, clearly something went wrong and our players lost confidence completely. I've already said it's hard to give players this confidence down the stretch, but it's clearly something we need to focus on in competitions as it's been an issue and we can only hope this gets addressed. I hardly think Wenger completely ignores this and sees it as a non-issue as it has been something that's bugged us recently and he'll hopefully sort it out next season. What do you suggest we do to sort it out? How would you stop the team from bottling it in the final few games?

Hard to take the "I'm just properly critiqueing the team" argument seriously from someone who's idea of formulating a reasonable point involves typing as many swearwords as possible in every sentence.

Your post can be summed up as "I've lost faith that the future will be good, so I'm just going to constantly whine about the past instead". Good luck with that, buddy.

Yeah ****er, I insulted you after you called me a whining pussy after stating open facts, and I can insult good my friend if you want to go there.

The fact that you can't respond to anything, but simply label it as 'whining' or calling me a 'whinging pussy' shows your full of ****, and can't argue for nothing. I addressed YOUR FUTURE ARGUMENT, we have heard this line THOUSANDS OF TIMES BEFORE, THE FUTURE, THE FUTURE, forgive me for not being so optimistic when I heard this before and saw no real changes, and I have a whole back log to support that. But again, you can't respond to this, all you can say is WHINGING and FUTURE, in case you don't know ******, in argumentation there's something called empirical evidence that can be used to substantiate the argument, that's what I have, EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE that supports my position, and completely destroys your position of: OH I LOOK TO THE FUTURE, NANANA. Yeah you go on ahead and do that.

How to stop players from bottling it? Very easy, surround them with experienced players who can handle the pressure, this is something we have been terrible at.

<ok> with one change above

Like I said, good luck with the "bitch about the last few years endlessly like a PMSing woman" thing you got going on. I'll be looking forward to cheering a rejuvenated team on to challenge for trophies next season. You didn't address any "future argument" ... you just said "LOOK AT ALL THE YEARS IN THE PAST IT HASN'T HAPPENED FOR US, HUH? HUH??" So what? You going to whinge about years gone by til the day you die? We're a good enough team to challenge for trophies, and it will happen for us if we make the right signings and have the belief. If you don't believe that and just want to bitch about the past, then you can go support another club.

I think we did better than expected of us after our worst start for 58 years and the team and manager do deserve credit for that, especially as many people tipped us to barely finish in the top 8. However, as a club, we did bring it upon ourselves and Wenger partially did get us into the mess, so it was his job to get us out of it. And thankfully, he did.

However, in the grand scheme of things, I would not consider the season to be a success because we failed to win silverware whilst maintaining our Champions League status. The lack of a cup run was infuriating. And the only consolation that we have is bragging rights over Spurs, who bottled a 13 point lead, finished 4th and still couldn't get into the Champions League after they were dubbed title challengers by early February (sorry, I had to include the dig in there ;)).

It was a little sad to see Arsenal fans indulge in another team's success and even though Chelsea qualified for next season's Champions League at the expense of them, I couldn't celebrate because it hurt to see Chelsea conclude their season with two pieces of silverware.

Next season, I'm hoping Wenger and the team can deliver the goods - or else he will have to leave. Hill-Wood's allegedly already offered him a new deal on his current one which expires in 2014 I think, but he has not signed it yet. I think he will leave next season unless we win something or we re-appoint Dein, but I cannot see that happening anytime soon.

I'd consider it a success considering the start of the season, but taking the end result into account at the start of the season, it's a pretty average season. Even so, like I said, because our season start was so crap, the end of the season was a great success to get into the Champions League again, which is one of the most important things. Not winning a trophy sucked, but it doesn't necessarily make our season rubbish or our turnaround to get a CL spot any less impressive. We just had a couple of poor performances, and we didn't get Chelsea-esque luck in cups to see us through.

And btw, I can whine as much as I like, I'm a paying customer, so I have a right to whinge, complain, and critique, I'm the one paying their salaries.

Some of you lot seriously need to tone it down a bit though - at the end of the day, we're all Arsenal fans, we all want the club to do well and we all want Wenger to bring back the glory days.

Even though we may not agree with one another and some of us have our altercations, we should try our best to be civilised and not rant at people because you end up losing your credibility.

<ok>

Agree with this, though it seems to be mostly Murray vs Arsenal87 today

Empty words from you, that's all you have, empty rhetoric, rhetoric we have been fed for years, the reality on the pitch says something otherwise. You can talk future, 8 years without a league, 7 years without a trophy, 7 years without being in the top 2, is enough to silence you and your 'future' arguments.

I'll believe it when I see it, at Arsenal there's too much empty words from fans, and the club itself, belief belief belief, that's what Wenger said in 2006, to have faith in him and his project, lol, we ended 4th scrapping on the last day, ended trophyless, and gone on that projection since then, yeah, lol, keep the belief, whatever you say.

Yep, I think that's about the measure of it <ok>
Some people were saying we'd end up mid table, so ultimately Wenger and the players did well to turn it around.

I don't think anyone would claim that this season has been a success. But successfully qualifying for the champions league was.
Ultimately the season was a mixed bag.

We all have the right to take a dump in our washing machine too.

Having the right to do something doesn't make you not an idiot for doing it.

We have experienced players, our team isn't that young.

I don't view players like Song as experienced, he's played a lot, but that doesn't qualify him, sadly, he's one of the biggest bottlers on many occasions. When I say experienced, we need to mix it up between young and old, many of our players who are experienced like walcott, grew up around OTHER YOUNG PLAYERS, that doesn't make you experienced, they needed to be around 26-28 year old players, like Arteta etc. We have been terrible at getting that mix and balance right.

The only idiot here is you my friend for telling to go support another club, you showed yourself on that one, ;-).

You are dead right there.
