I think we did better than expected of us after our worst start for 58 years and the team and manager do deserve credit for that, especially as many people tipped us to barely finish in the top 8. However, as a club, we did bring it upon ourselves and Wenger partially did get us into the mess, so it was his job to get us out of it. And thankfully, he did.
However, in the grand scheme of things, I would not consider the season to be a success because we failed to win silverware whilst maintaining our Champions League status. The lack of a cup run was infuriating. And the only consolation that we have is bragging rights over Spurs, who bottled a 13 point lead, finished 4th and still couldn't get into the Champions League after they were dubbed title challengers by early February (sorry, I had to include the dig in there

).
It was a little sad to see Arsenal fans indulge in another team's success and even though Chelsea qualified for next season's Champions League at the expense of them, I couldn't celebrate because it hurt to see Chelsea conclude their season with two pieces of silverware.
Next season, I'm hoping Wenger and the team can deliver the goods - or else he will have to leave. Hill-Wood's allegedly already offered him a new deal on his current one which expires in 2014 I think, but he has not signed it yet. I think he will leave next season unless we win something or we re-appoint Dein, but I cannot see that happening anytime soon.
