Jackie Major was an England amateur international and Gerry Bowler an Irish cap but can't remember if it was when they played for the Tigers.

We were also the first English club to go into administration ('92) and the first club anywhere to be knocked out of a comp on penalties (Watney Cup '70 vs Man U)

I believe that City are the only League Two club ever to have a game postponed due to having four players away on international duty.

I have absolutely nothing to base this on but it surprises me that Swansea/Cardiff/Wrexham never found themselves in that position.

I know the song was because he rejected a call up, but did Colin Alcide ever get a cap for St Lucia?

Colin Alcide.. City hero.. massive fella.. just checked on wikipedia he didn't play for St Lucia but did play in the UEFA Cup for Total Network Solutions in 2004 (useless fact number 55!)

How could anybody forget those 2 prolific goal-getters 30 years apart.....Nick Deacy (Wales) and Jozy Altidore (US of A).

I remember the day at Blackpool when Deacy had to be replaced at half-time due to an asthma attack and Paul Haigh (also England U23) was pushed upfront from his usual central defensive role and responded with 2 goals.....about the same amount Deacy managed in his whole undistinguished stint at Boothferry Park.

Robert Koren is captain of Slovenia.

Although it's not the point of the topic

Boateng- had call ups for the Dutch

Jason van Blerk- somehow got caps for the Aussies but it was already finished by the time he came to us.
