I cannot see any possibility of a top ten Premier league side losing to a run down team of bits and pieces in a **** hole ancient stadium. But it would be nice if they tried to make a game of it.

People keep saying it really pisses off Bournemouth fans when Saints talk about Pompey being their biggest rivals. The irony here being that, if we enjoy pissing them off, then that must mean we regard them as rivals somewhat. Anyway, my point here, is that we are missing a trick, surely...

If we really want to piss of Pompey fans (they are our 'real' rivals after all), then surely we should be downplaying the Pompey game, and talking up the Bournemouth one!

I would like to remind you that this is Saints we are talking about...they are perfectly capable of losing to a run down team of bits and pieces in a **** hole stadium. We all have the scars to prove it :(

But we won't....3-1 to Saints :)

So, what if we lost to Bournemouth, beat Pompey, went out next round of the cup and got relegated by one point? Hmmm?

Conjecture overload.

Indeed.
I was going to suggest this yesterday: What would you prefer, Saints to beat Pompey and win the League Cup or Saints to beat Bournemouth and end up qualifying for the Champions League?

But I deemed that as too off the scale. <laugh>

I'd definitely go for the cup win. It would be remembered forever and we would still get a european adventure in the europa!

Here’s one for a Saints forum.

win the premier league, FA cup, champions league next year and leave the EU with no deal

or

get relegated and revoke article 50

Easy. Get relegated and revoke Article 50

Another easy decision: Solve the climate crisis and leave the EU or don't solve it and remain. The obvious answer is: Solve the climate crisis and leave the EU

It's all about priority.
