I told gerrez yesterday that this thread was nothing personal and mainly divilment as I was bored. But it has taken on a life of its own and some people have valid points such as one I made myself too. If you dont like a thread dont click on it.

I've never read the cricket, f1 or any of the england ones or the cheese thread. It doesnt mean I should complain them and have them moved or shut down because I former mod, ex supermod and not606 stalwart dont like them. Obviously some people like them or theyd not be on the first page.

Same goes for the gaza thread though. Just because someone didnt like it doesnt mean it should be moved. It sets a slippery slope for the forum and for the mods because every c**t on here isnt going to like every thread on here. So do we remove each thread someone doesnt like and be left with 100% lfc threads ?

Then some people wont like some of the lfc threads as theyll feel different e.g joe allen is s**t. A joe fan will want it removed.

We'll be left with a thread about results and a thread of predictions and maybe a match thread. Thatll be fun.

My genuine (I started piss taking) feelings are if the thread isnt promoting racism, picking on one particular poster or something illegal that can be used to bring unnecessary attention to the site a la the "rape gallery" then it should stay and the dont click dont read principle be used.

>>Same goes for the gaza thread though. Just because someone didnt like it doesnt mean it should be moved..

100% disagree. Sorry.
The OP could have posted something so inflammatory (I am not saying he has) that I or someone else cannot let it pass. Many other posters might have very strong and opposing views adn will not want to let some (perceived) inaccurate remarks or facts pass.

Same with religion and race (if non footie or LFC related). Are we going to say "JUST IGNORE IT or DON'T CLICK ON IT" ?? No this is a totally unacceptable position and I hope the mods are more sensible than that. This is a FOOTBALL forum. End of.

PS: before anyone jumps to any conclusions, I have not (and never) made any complaints about the Gaza thread or any other thread or any poster. I only mentioned it because it was mentioned on this page.

Hardly a highly debatable and interactive thread, it seems more like one posters stage <ok>

PS...yep, I'm going to get it in the neck for that comment too!

This a million times over.

Give your heads a shake. It was a crock of ****. No place om here at all.

And yes this is a football board you are right my view is this

There are prob 100 football forums, you could for example choose rawk or ja606 but the reason for not606 are

1. It's multi fan so you can argue to your hearts content with pet wums

2. It allows way more than old 606 used to so is freer. As in old 606 would allow nothing not even a lousy Friday joke page.

3. Not 606 allows swearing which has actually put off a lot equally ja606 doesn't so put off a lot lot more

So all in all we can find transfer news, match threads, and so forth a lot of places but the reason we hang round here is like it or no we have some sort of community and part of that is indulging rhc and his snails, cheesy smells and vampire lesbian neighbours, we let guys shoot the breeze about music, tv and such especially during the evening and we indulge the wums cos chances are someone like astro will then be able to have fun doing so

Honestly I let sisu go cos he calmed down a bit and I checked in looking at the stuff he posted as videos etc. it was interesting. Equally while it's not forgotten or resolved yet another ceasefire has broken out so it was time to let it go. Yes I agree politics is the hardest to moderate and deal with but at the time we did discuss and it kept it to one place and I agreed with that approach. Do we ban a member for the sake of our ease? No I don't think so.

Equally we ask for mutual respect even if you think the other guy is a clown. It's this that wreaks the board not a few non interesting articles. So all in all personal stuff and too much stuff that floods the board is the issue

We try to combine stuff and keep it to one. Therefore for example I'm sure there was lots of tv show and movies threads and now there's one. In my view sorted and interesting. Same for music which doesn't interest me but I let it go and drop in just to check it as a job

The cheese is just nuts, but that's what makes the board the board yeah it could be done in the pub thread but it's a bit of fun

I counted this morning

We have

Cl thread
Transfer thread (still)
Match thread of villa
England thread
Sturridge injured thread
Injury update thread
Mario better step up thread
Loan watch thread
Ff thread
Prediction league
Rival watch (read childish bashing thread)

And the ability to create any football thread you like

Non football are
Pub thread (tradition)
Music
TV movie
F1
Cricket
Cheese
Mafia

And of course the ability to create more if you choose

I find that if people care; and please volunteer to run a thread like ibwt does and you'll find the injury thread pops up with new info, match threads pop up, loan watch is updated and when it's time the cl watch thread will pop up too

What am I missing what threads get buried when there's not a break like this international one?

It's not just a football forum, it's a place that also has plenty of OT threads, that are clearly marked as such and people either engage or don't - it's called choice.

If you want a football forum where nothing but football is discussed and it's modded by the SS head over to rawk pal.

Your view is clouded by the fact that you found the content challenging due to your heritage, sorry but you're far from objective on this issue.

Bullshit of the highest order as usual. Not everyone comes on here to try and point score and act intelligent as you do, some come on here to have a bit of fun and chat with like minded individuals. Over the season there will be nonsense threads and there will be threads that encourage serious debate it's always been a good blend.

As always the human factor is well over your head my little friendless troll.

Livtor is a bellend though. A grade A bellend.

Milk would call him a douche <ok>

In short when I started as a mod luv and gerrez prob said the same as when they started. We discuss things and yes sometimes someone takes a call on something which is also their right as long as they don't interfere with another mods actions

Therefore for example

A) we did discuss what to do with this sisu thread and felt it just passed the check, I thought personally it became a couple of people going at it by the end but it did keep it in one place

B) if someone queries something we do we ask why was it done. Gerrez took his action and also explained it here when I asked so I think you cannot ask for more than that

I'd ask that some level of ok you've said your piece as have some lFC fans so if you leave it at that as basically it is counter productive. Sometimes just say whatever and ignore can work

I think a militant poster who calls you guys (mods) and his fellow liverpool fans ****s when yiu disagree, is counter productive.

You had one before just like him and many times you have yo wonder if hes sneaked back on.

I did say we needed some slack and it is useful to get other fans viewpoint too. I am aware that many of the Liverpool fans visit other boards and have a great debate there. Otherwise the board will be boring I accept that.

It is when someone posts an overtly POLITICAL (with a big P) arguing for or against a certain position. I know for a fact that we have posters from both sides of that argument (Gaza) here. Why do we need this debate here? Why create unnecessary tension? I have seen it a while back on a different political topic. The tension between the 2 posters were clearly rising but luckily one gave way.

There must be a no-no on the board. Overtly political, religious, or racist posts should be closed. It is not about curtailing freedom of expression. It is about having an appropriate discussion on an appropriate board or site.

Racist? Why have you lumped racist in with political and religious? Of course anything racist has no place here or anywhere else for that matter.

If people want to discuss politics or religion then that's there choice and again you can engage or otherwise. Setting limits as to what can and can't be discussed is not what this place is or should be about and people should just accept that or go elsewhere imo.

The rules are clear anything overtly personal, anything at all that's racist or homophobic or like the prime example of that rape thread that nearly got this site done etc gets deleted. A big world event inevitably gets discussed yes it's hard to police yes it'd be easier just to say no but we have to try too

i think we should have at least one thread on each teams board where rival fans can not make a comment, other wise we just end up with bollocks on every thread.

that's my only gripe, not arsed about what the threads are, if i don't like the subject i just wont comment in it, just be nice to have one thread on each teams board where only fans of that club are allowed to comment, we have a few camped on here that need to comment on everything about our club, and they have only one agenda, its pointless and boring.

Doesnt work. What about the liverpool fans who disagree with your viewpoint? Or those who pretend to be liverpool fans. Who decides who has access to such a thread on any board?

Desperate attempt to be allowed stay on our board ... **** off back to matth and schwan <laugh>

I am uneasy about the stance which you and the OP take on this. Let's have the controversial thread on the board. If I don't like it I can piss off (my words not yours) some where else and join another forum.

I come here because I want to talk about football. However, I and all of us live in the real world. We are interested in other things too. I and many of the posters here have political viewpoints too. If I see something on this board that usually interests me, I'll have to just ignore it? Because if I open it and then get annoyed or upset, it is my fault for opening it in the first place. I should have ignored the thread.

why would they? i only said one thread, they could avoid it if need be, bit like the discussion we are having now about content in threads.

they get found out quick enough, sure you have probably had a few on your board.

we could go by what board the user generally posts on, but then tobes would Certainly be ****ed as i dont think he posts on the everton board lol, and you are probably 50/50 between here and utd board.

don't see the harm in one thread on each board where rival fans can **** off and not comment, plenty of other threads on the board to interact if need be.
