No. No way. If you're going to start binning specific OT threads then they all have to go, can't make exceptions just because you prefer certain ones to others. That would mean every thread on here would have to be directly related to LFC which would make the place incredibly boring. For example, I've been nowhere near that 'Mafia' thread but if they want to play the game in there then let em play, just don't go on the thread, however I enjoy the F1 and tv/movie threads so ditching those would mean I visit the forum less. Ditching threads others enjoy would mean they visit less. It's that simple. That cricket thread is a bag of ****e though. <laugh>

To be honest mate, when I made that post I had just got up and with the Mrs being away in Brighton for the last few days - my house and head is bedlum.

I actually agree with you now I've had chance to think about it - Quite simply if you have no interest on the thread don't go on it. For example I didn't go on the Gaza thread once.

And to Hash - being a supermod if this was implemeted on our board then surely you'd have to implement it on every board on the forum, good luck with that <laugh>

P.S. The Cricket thread should be deleted, not just moved - but ****ing deleted <laugh>

Desperate attempt to be allowed stay on our board ... **** off back to matth and schwan <laugh>

Not really. I have a generic answer for anyone who wants to discuss liverpool only under strict conditions with nonfree thought allowed.

Go there. You'll be back soo, begging for united fans, everton fans etc. Always the case.

one thread where you cant comment ffs!

this is our ****ing board after all, just be nice to go somewhere cretin free, if i so choose.

If I see something on this board that usually interests me, I'll have to just ignore it? Because if I open it and then gets annoyed or upset, it is my fault for opening it in the first place. I should have ignored the thread.

Annoyed, upset? What could you have possibly read on here that has either affect in the context of this discussion. If you see something that you take issue with comment on it, that's sort of the point of a forum<doh>

I am uneasy about the stance which you and the OP take on this. Let's have the controversial thread on the board. If I don't like it I can piss off (my words not yours) some where else and join another forum.

I come here because I want to talk about football. However, I and all of us live in the real world. We are interested in other things too. I and many of the posters here have political viewpoints too. If I see something on this board that usually interests me, I'll have to just ignore it? Because if I open it and then get annoyed or upset, it is my fault for opening it in the first place. I should have ignored the thread.

Are you that sensitive that someones political views on an internet site are going to upset you ?

I'm a nationalist , republican , feinian bastard but it doesnt stop non nationalist , republican , feinian bastards from engaging with me or me engaging with them.

Tiocfaidh ar la <ok>

I am not going to repeat examples! I have seen people argue at length about facts and the moral and ethical positions of this and that. Honestly I cannot be arsed to spend time to discuss with or argue the case with some individual of inaccuracies. Some people have entrenched political positions depending on their circumstances. Commenting on it may or may not do it. It is not the reason for me to come to a football forum.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on that. Let's have it as open and free as possible but we need to have some limits.

To be honest, although we often have different views I like UIR <smooch>. Bodanki is a very good rival poster that visits, also Tobes. I have no problem with Tobes but I feel every 3 months he gets frustrated and turns most threads into a slagging match - but then he sits back for a while and comes back calm.

These are the three most common rival fans that use our board and I have no problem with any of them.

The latest one though is a complete prick Shteve. For some reason he has it right in for me, he simply can't take any banter and starts to get all personal. If you come across this cock do me a favour and neg rep him - I will return the favour by pos repping you <ok>

So what are you?

Back to being a nobody like me <wah>

i think we should have at least one thread on each teams board where rival fans can not make a comment, other wise we just end up with bollocks on every thread.

that's my only gripe, not arsed about what the threads are, if i don't like the subject i just wont comment in it, just be nice to have one thread on each teams board where only fans of that club are allowed to comment, we have a few camped on here that need to comment on everything about our club, and they have only one agenda, its pointless and boring.

Here here. Was actually thinking about suggesting this the other day. I accept and actually don't mind (depending on mood/day) our resident Everton and Utd ghosts but it would be cool to have one place, just one, in the name of all that's holy, where you're able to click on and know you're not going to get the squabbling, slanging matches and handbags.

Morning boys and girls

I don't post a great deal but i have a look most days to see what the general crack is and catch up on the football gossip and opinion. But as they say the spectator see's more of the game, i thought i'd throw in my 2 pence worth.

The OT threads are what make this site what it is, there is only so much you can say about any footballing subject before a stalemate is reached between two opposing opinions and the tread descends into an insult laden slanging match.
The OT threads give an opportunity to have a wider variety of discussions with much more variety of input. Obviously as they are not the main topic i.e football, it will lead to less people using a particular thread as we all have an interest in football but only a few will have more than a passing interest in snails for example. The popular OT threads often have more replies and have more legs than the football related threads. Their is only so much that can be said about studge being injured, while the goings on in the cheese could keep Jeremy Kyle going for 10 series.
I personally liked the Gaza thread, it was interesting and could be quite thought provoking. If i wanted safe and mundane i would join facebook and read about what people had for their dinner instead.

My 2 pence

feel free to disagree and call me a ****.

cheers

Can I agree with you and still call you a ****??

Well I know of no way other than manually deleting each and every comment by non lfcs and we do have the exact opposite of this which is the rival thread

Now me and a few others including milk, wish I, NTSC, anfield rap and jb had the winter thread on old 606, we simply created a new one every 4000 posts and the plod closed threads with more. Once it was off the top of the board page one it had nobody but those who knew to simply look at member page latest a posts for link

The issue here is a post = the thread is on page one automatically.

So all in all the issue is more you guys want somewhere (and those I name know full well this is true but are only named as rival fans are in question) that uir and tobes don't turn in and just say bollox and lfc are rubbish while you talk football. In the main Diego hardly ever turns in compared to our two mates named.

Bodanki comments 95% of time on games and tv thread so doesn't engage in the same old same old

I think in general you guys might think you want exclusivity but you really mean the America old crap on every topic is boring. Perhaps if a banter thread reemerged we could agree some rules about other topic specific thread not descending ok into the same old HOWEVER while I name two rival fans I can just as easy name 2 lfc fans who join in the same old boring pissing contests for the same reasons and 90% of the time can be as bad or worse and in fact sometimes more insulting

Basically if people throwing one line insults is not you thing I'd not only have to ban rivals I'd have to ask for band for some reds and no not livtor as that's different this week
