    Abu's -
Rudi's task to shout & yell at Alonso for defending. Alonso is not a Defender he doesn't have a clue about Defending.

not just for the goal. Rudi's general play is average at best. Don't think how he is an upgrade over Cahill.
    Just because Younger??

Suicide pairing Rudi & Alonso on the left any given game.

Stan it was a deflection, no matter how much shouting he did it would not have changed the outcome. some things are almost impossible to prevent bud, and I fear for Rudy, Cahill is low in your esteem so if you rate him lower he might as well go play for Fulham.

It is just the left side weakness.
Be it Cahill + Alonso or Rudi + Alonso - that is the weakest spot in our 11 ofcourse when we play 11.

Having said that I would love to switch Dave to left and pair with Alonso & switch either Cahill or Rudi to the right.
Asking for this for more than a year. Last season fixtures weren't a strain. This season it certainly is.
Even Kante looks human. That says a lot.

Above all Tony has a mental block against Arsene. Easily he fluffs his lines against him every single time.

thought hazard was poor as usual. Too much ball holding trying to dribble past everyone with poor passes in between. A few flicks and tricks doesn't cover that up and he fluffed his line when he fell over through on goal.

Main culprit is conte though, this 3-4-3 doesnt work as arsenal just pop it around and we don't press them in numbers instead preferring 5 at the back when arsenal really only have 1 up top and put runners in.

In the end it becomes a crap shoot as to who can finish off their 2 or 3 chances. Unlucky for the 2 goals but at the end of the day, this arsenal are soft and **** but we never send more than 4 or 5 players to attack.

It's damning than everytime we play arsenal, it's a cagey tense affair and we never seem to look to threaten a soft arsenal side who always look troubled by other teams who bother attacking them as they can't defend.

Conte is a good manager but he suffers from one of the same issues Wenger does.

They set the team up to play a certain way - In a certain shape and that doesn't really change regardless of how the game is going.

He will bring on more attackers/defenders but wont actually make any mid game tactical adjustments. Whereas managers like Ferguson, Mourinho, Guardiola will change shape and address the game as it's happening.

Losing Willian cost us the game imo.I know your not a Hazard fan,but i dread to think where we'd be without him.

not sure willian cost us the game. We were unlucky but it's the same turgid 50/50 that Conte goes for where who can finish their 2 chances. That isn't good especially since we can't finish this year. To be honest it wouldn't even be that bad if we were drawing but even at 2-1 down, there is 0 intensity in our attack. We pressed a big higher but even then the intensity wasn't that high and we had 5 at the back in a line when we were meant to be winning the ball back

As for Hazard, he's our best player but if he could play more intelligently and with more intensity, he'd be a far better player. He always wants to be clever and do a man rather than being direct or seeing the pass early and this is why he's frustrating.

It's the wrong mentality when you are not winning and yes i appreciate exciting football but only if you are ahead.

Today, barring his goal he was very ordinary with half of that being because he was surrounded but thats when you have to be intelligent.

Indeed, the loss of Willian certainly changed what was a close game in Arsenal’s favour.

Hazard has gotta be off in the summer, he's streets ahead of the rest of our team, he can do so much better.

Worst Arsenal team I've seen in years but we just give them too much respect. We did concede two of the worst goals possible tonight, that first one especially but we just didn't go at them. Far too safe and then like for like substitutions when we're behind doesn't do it for me either.

Barca will stuff us in a couple of weeks.

Iv'e lost all confidence in Contes' selections. Luiz was a no brainer to start and Christensen had a poor game to boot, he was definately suffering a mild concussion and he had no energy about him. Hazard has already shown he is not a strikers arsehole, and did so again. Why would you nobble your best player by making him play a role he just can't play? Michy was the right choice. Then there's the like for like subs which do **** all to improve the performance. The man just doesn't get it. Arsenal are so bloody ordinary we should have walloped them and with some guile and flair we would, but not while it's sitting on the bench.
On the plus side, Bakayoko played a much better game and worked really hard. Barkley started badly as you'd expect, but improved , as you'd hope. Some match fitness will be useful. Damned good game apart from the result , but we can't win games set up like that.

Nah.. Tony is way better than Arsene. Just that Tony lacks any motivation to do a 2017-18 again.

Our team is already savaged by playing Cescy week in week out. Even Kante looks knackered.

I am glad we don't have to deal with a futile League cup final. It is going to be City's cup anyway.

I wish if our previous gaffer does a favor and knocks us out of another mickey mouse cup this weekend.

Just focus on 4th spot by playing 11 players week in & out.
