This weeks Internationals thread

You think it's good to draw at home to Ukraine?

England have no divine right to turn up & win; it seems to be fashinable to berate & dismiss England. Too much hoof ball, too many old players, the manager is rubbish we have heard it all before. With a weakened side full of youngsters playing passing football & not panicking it was an entertaining game where Hodgson got his subs correct.

Gastón just put a FK into the wall, then volleyed the rebound wide. Nearly had an assist too, looks very tricky and dangerous.

Uruguay just hit the bar, from a Suarez shot.

Ukraine are a strong side and England were forced to play a weakened team. We had chances which on another day would have gone in. Football is a game played by feet but decided by inches as they say. Ukraine missed chances as well. Only one team goes through automatically, so snatching a late draw is not a bad result.

Certainly doesn't lack confidence. He's completed a lot of audacious attacking passes, he's not always looking around - but very aware of what's going on around him. Very creative and incisive.

That was nice to see too, Gaston chasing back, blocking a shot and getting the tackle in before moving back upfield preparing to bring the ball back out again.

Shame their tactics and style seem to be utter ****.
They were the last unbeaten team in the South American group before Friday's result so they can't be that bad.

From what I saw of the first half he didn't look afraid to get stuck in, which will be useful!
