The refs had a mare really.
Booking virtually any free kick especially when dramatic agony is added. Must have booked seven or eight and sent one off in a pretty much none Argo game. Hate to think what he would in some of our league one games?

Or you could argue that Lallana will be keen to impress knowing he is on the edge of the England squad

Well foreign referees generally give more bookings and give more fouls than English refs. He didn't really have a mare. He got all the major decisions right, apart from Defoe's disallowed goal.

Am I the only one who enjoyed that. Thought subs made a decent impact & a lot of young players were given a chance which a lot of people have been denanding. England kept going so I think it was a dwcent day for England.

Some fans would rather Lallana trained with Southampton rather than with England, in this whole club before country disaster we are currently trying to get out of, this isn't helping. Granted he didn't play but if there had been an injury he might have, you can't expect the Gerrards of the world to play their heart out for England but want Adam to stay at home rather than gain international experience just because he's a Saint.

Dean Hammond would have looked good playing for England tonight.

Yep, a point was not a disaster and certainly no need to panic. Some dodgy finishing though and without them everyone would be happy. Anyway back to the real stuff now and hopefully if Lallana has a good month he will be thought about for the next squad.

Lallana will become a worse player for being involved with England. He should announce his retirement from international football now.

Look at Oxlade-Chamberlain. He's been crap in the last 2 or 3 england appearances.

I thought England played pretty well. Decent passing game, chances created and unlucky not to win the game. Got a bit scrappy as we tried to chase the game, but otherwise a positive performance with Gerrard's red card the only sour note.

Shame Lallana didn't get on, but can't have everything.

England were shocking once again.Gerrard is too old.

Can't have Lamps and Gerrard in the team, one or the other.Lescott was terrible as well.

Ha, the reaction to England drawing is almost as bad as when saints lose!

Thought we created lots of chances, and were unlucky not to win, but Konoplianka looks a real player, great goal by him.

Referee was a bit card-happy but Gerrard can't really complain, both his bookings were deserved. Can't believe he got a standing ovation for being sent off!

I seem to remember Hammond and Fox were applauded off after being sent off at Reading and Birmingham. I couldn't believe people were applauding Hammond, I was livid at him!

Ukraine are a decent side and they played well tonight. And England had several key players out. England played OK.

Agreed. Bloody ridiculous how some people can get so petty and childish when it comes to international football. It was an exciting game with a lot of good football - no hopeful long balls from England, and it's evident that they're slowly getting to grips with the short passing game. More chances should have been put away, but they're learning.
