Haven't heard anything official about it yet. Let's hope its just a rumour. In England related news, both Walcott and Sturridge missed training due to illness. Doesn't leave England with much in the way of options!
You have to feel sorry for Roy. Must be impossible to plan with these constant injuries. Sods law Theo will be raring to go by Saturday!
Was listening to a couple of sports journos debating this very thing. They were saying that as recent as 10-15 years ago, minor injuries or illnesses wouldn't have been reported and a star player would be expected to play through the minor problem. Not these days.
You can blame the 'blame culture' for that. I suspect their insurance company wouldn't be happy having to pay the PL club for loss of a top player. These two players may be better, hopefully, for tomorrow's match. They may have dropped out of training for something quite minor, but modern training methods probably dictate rest when below par.
Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints Saints are delighted to confirm that Adam Lallana has been drafted into the England squad for tomorrow's game against Ukraine. #saintsfc
Great news as discussed on another thread. Doubt he'll get a go tonight but the recognition is great for him and our club! On a similar vein I see Clyne got a 45 minute run out in the U21 win last night. On to today some interesting games so let's hope for another England win but it won't be easy.
Japan v Iraq on now. Yoshida No 22. http://www.coolsport.tv/stream6.php Japanese commentary though. (think we are gonna need a Japanese smiley this season)
Got to get used to these international breaks, but aren't they tedious. Look back longingly to the days of the Saint Gaston! thread.
