Bit of an update on this....

Seen the nephrologist yesterday, and we've definately got the green light.

I need to have another round of CT and MRI scans, trays, bloods etc, just to check nothing has changed since the last lot, and make sure my kidney(s) are still in good nick.

Timescale, they said "months", but would definately be this year. There is a timeline the Mrs will follow:
T-30 days, some kind of injection to stop ab anti-body development. Various other things across the 30 day countdown, down to T-3 days, which is when she would be admitted and the transfusion carried out to remove ab anti-bodies to a safe level to carry out a non-match transplant.
She will be in a further 7 days after, then all being well, home, and dialysis free.

I go in on the day of the transplant, lose a kidney, then all being well, home the following day, then 6 weeks off work.

This will make a life changing difference to the Mrs, she's forgot what it feels like to feel "normal".

Oooh, I can almost smell that Guinness @gelders pie.
I’m on last night so have the going home from holiday low, but this is a great lift, so pleased for you both . The Guinness awaits us !!

Wow, little Ronan James hasn’t half brought some good news with him, hasn’t he. Good luck.

Car 'rams through' crowd of Liverpool fans during Premier League trophy parade
Story by Louis Sealey

Liverpool fans during the club’s Premier League trophy parade.

A large emergency service presence has been sent to Liverpool city centre following reports that a car drove through a crowd of supporters who were celebrating the club’s title win.

Mad that like, how lucky not to be marmalised!
I once slept through a car properly on fire outside me house and people banging on the door while 2 fire engines with all the lights going sorted it out. Car was just black dust in the end. It's amazing what you can sleep through to be fair, clean conscience obviously! Run over by a container ship in your sleep would be some way to go like! <laugh>

Edit-this was in response to the container ship article
