When we lived in France Sunflowers were grown commercially and it was a sight to drive past field after field seeing them all facing the sun and standing proud, I never saw them laid down, maybe they kept each other up as there were thousands of them.Never tried growing sunflowers before but planted a load of seeds this year, damn things are over 9 feet tall propped up in multiple places. No idea how they would get on in the wild without support, I imagine they'd just lie flat on the ground.

Been doing another model, a Westland Sea King.
Was only a cheapish (£20) starter kit and included paints etc, but the quality was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed doing this one.
I made a weighted wooden crate and attached cables to give a lifting effect.
Well pleased how this one came out.

I did do a London Routemaster bus, a double decker, but not open top though.Absolutely brilliant mate, well done ...
... can you make the next one an open-topped bus to bring us some luck![]()
.Looks awesome that Snaggey. remember that just before I met Mrs K I bought a Supermarine Spitfire model. Never got round to doing it and it sat gathering dust in my our garage for about a decade before it went to the charity shop. Looking at yours I wish I had now.Been doing another model, a Westland Sea King.

Do you want to borrow my grinderI did do a London Routemaster bus, a double decker, but not open top though.
That one took some doing, things massive.
On the crate, I was gonna put the Hummel logo, but a red cross was easier.

Bloody kids thinking it’s hilarious to ring my doorbell and run away. Little gits!
Seems that the new way of saying “ greedy profiteering “ is to say “ Dynamic Pricing”
Trying to make it sound great that you are being offered something special .
Before Oasis go on stage and tell the fans how much they mean to them - perhaps they could have told Ticketmaster to stick to agreed original price and not rip them off
