Bit of an update on the Mrs....and it's better news, at last. Bit of a long post, so apologies for that....

She is on a big selection of meds, some for her renal issues, but also some anti siezure drugs following her siezure on 1st January. Quite a few of these are to keep her blood pressure in check, and most of these (11) are taken first thing on a morning.

She was initially having dialysis at the Freeman on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 3 x 3 hour sessions. These were always on an afternoon...1.00pm till 4.00pm. A few weeks ago she was transferred for dialysis at a renal unit on the Team Valley, same days, but 8.00am till 11.00am....this is when the problems really escalated. Nausea, sickness, (meant she had no appetite, and anything she did eat came back up - went from 10 stone to 8 stone in a month), aches, severe fatigue, muscle cramps, constant dizziness, fainting after dialysis......just really unwell.

I rang the Freeman on Friday and spoke to her renal consultant and asked the question that with all the meds she is taking to control her blood pressure, which she is taking about 7.00am, then starting dialysis (which also reduces blood pressure) at 8.00am....could this be part of the problem, could we move some till after dialysis? He thought it was worth a try, so advised which ones to move. Only x3 tablets could be moved, and on dialysis days only, but it has definately made a big difference. Two sessions, (sat and today), and been OK after both. Today, we even went out for something to eat.....first time she has had an appetite for what seems like ages. It feels like we have turned a corner....a bloody big corner.

From the bottom of my heart,
Thank You,

That's brilliant news Snaggey.

You have to wonder how many people suspect there's something not quite right with their treatment but don't say anything. Similar happened with my Dad when they couldn't get him home fast enough despite doing very little to sort him out a couple of weeks before he went in and died.

Interesting day for COVID related news.

People lost their funding and jobs, were accused of racism for suggesting this back in 2020/21. Now it's becoming more and more accepted, and nobody screaming disinformation and demanding the ruination of the lives of people who turned out to be correct at the time have yet admitted to getting it wrong.

Great news Snaggey, I am sorry I missed your original post, I haven’t been on here much lately so reading your post is a bit of a surprise, but I am so pleased your wife appears to be turning the corner. The support offered by the posters you tagged is heartening, well done one and all.

You and your wife take care, watch out for each other and the kids, there is nothing more precious than family.

Once again my apologies for missing your original post but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

Just seen the media all going on about the Grimsby tweet last night with Harvey Price in it! I didn't see it did anyone else?

From what I've read it was a gif of him saying that "what a day" thing, posted by social media bloke last night and it has been deleted today and an apology issued for the inappropriate tweet!

Is it inappropriate just because it's Harvey because it doesn't appear to me that the gif or the comment accompanying it were. The original video was shared by his mother so I assume it's something she wanted people to see and like?

Two weeks in, and its coming on canny.
Put the tartan decals on the seats today, two per seat, only took 4 hours!

4 hours of quality me time....priceless.

I wasn't too keen on the front grill as it was just a decal, so made my own. We're gonna need a new sieve, but I've put this one back in the cupboard to see how long it takes for anyone to notice!!

M'villa

Dragging up old pain here, he was interviewed and spoke a bit about his time here

I'm in two minds about it all, he signed a pre-contract to come on a free in January didn't he? So what was he doiglng at the airport expecting the club to pay a fee? Was he just upset that they signed N'Dong for a fee?

The club thought it was better business to wait until January and get him free, in hindsight it didn't work that way but I understand it more than some of the other deals! Like the bloke who we had to pay the transfer fee after the loan and him never joining!

We’ve done some hideous business over the years - signing the wrong players and missing out on / deciding against the right players.

This one would have worked out I think, if it wasn't for BSA going and Moyes coming in!

I know it had already happened by the time he was in the airport wanting to sign but the negative way the season went under Moyes meant come January he changed his mind completely.
