Sunderland AFC continues to be extremely disappointed by the unacceptable conduct of a very small minority of supporters.
Multiple incidents of the use of pyrotechnic devices and fans entering the field of play without permission were reported to the EFL and FA following the Club’s fixture versus Wigan Athletic at the DW Stadium, with additional incidents taking place during Saturday's Emirates FA Cup tie at Shrewsbury Town.
Supporters are reminded that the use of pyrotechnic devices breaches ground safety regulations and poses serious risk of injury to the individual and their fellow fans.
Anyone caught possessing or using pyrotechnics, or any other illegal items, will be reported to the police and prosecution could result in a permanent criminal record, which may affect their employment and education, and could result in a prison sentence.
Those identified carrying or using pyrotechnics or entering the field of play will also receive an automatic Club ban, which could also be extended to accompanying parents or guardians of children who take part in these activities.
Further incidents could also to lead to the Club facing direct sanctions, including a drastic reduction in away fixture ticket allocation.
These acts are dangerous, illegal and have severe consequences – and they have no place in football.
SAFC would like to thank supporters who continue to show their support in a friendly, respectful and considerate manner.
Personally I hate the way smoke signals are used at games, I have a chest condition which they aggravate tremendously and I can't be the only one, they have no place at football matches.

I can't praise the NHS enough for what they do....as you say, it was a positive experience. The Mrs works at UHND, but I think she will be on long term sick now....cant see her getting back.

Something that I missed out when I posted earlier about Mrs. A. . . . . she's/we've had to attend regularly for four separate instances now, the last one starting a year ago tomorrow, and we've got nothing but praise for the NHS staff, who have been brilliant 
They are bloody lovely. When my son spent his first week of life in the High Dependency Unit at Sunderland General, my wife was on an adjacent ward recovering from a C section, I remember visiting twice a day and it really upset me to hear or read about people wanting to sue the NHS. Had a busy day with hospital visits, but feeling a lot more positive.
Having a few beers, which I'm now starting to taste, and watching Apollo 13.

right lads, have any of you bought a car that was a former cat s/cat n (or the earlier equivilant) and can give me a rough idea of what sort of increase it puts onto the insurance?
basically, just found out the DHS have messed my payments and i will be getting a 'lumper'...obviously not life changing but enough to stick me over the limit so just looking around and there are some bargains in the cat s/cat n motors.

If it’s been repaired properly why should it be a dearer insurance?
well i wish someone would tell me...but they do appear to ask more for insurance apparently they 'never know what to ask for a repaired vehicle'.
my opinion is, they have paid out and just want to claw as much back as they can as surely if it fully repaired, passed inspection and is therefore as good as it was before the accident, why the need to ask a higher rate.
