I’m in Roker so seemed to be out at sea
I heard it and seen the flash in the town. Sounded more like an explosion.Flash and noise at the same time. I have family down roker and they heard it. I was just coming on to post about it and ask, you beat me too it.

Edit, it was the ball from Harry Kanes penalty coming back though the atmosphere.
Im right on the front, lit up the whole sky out to sea and the sound was unreal. Actually felt it through the floor. Thought I’d imagined the flash until the thunder clap.
Might not play golf today.
