I feel like I made a big step forward today.
I went out and bought filler, paint etc and made a start on redecorating this room.

This was the Mrs dialysis room, and once all the equipment was removed it left a bit of a mess. Ive been putting it off, just didn't like going in there much, it wasnt a happy place.
Well today, the holes have been filled, will sand down tomorrow, then will redecorate from top to bottom.

This will be returned back to a bedroom for my little Grandson, time for happier memories to be made.

Brilliant mate. I never mentioned this my dad was a dialysis patient in the middle 70s. We had a portacabin installed for home dialysis which was quite revolutionary at the time. Lived in Delves Lane. He did receive a transplant Christmas Eve 77 but sadly dialysis had taken toll on his heart. He died April 78 but kidney worked to bitter end.

We walked in the Cheviot hills on thursday. Coming down from Hedgehope we came across quite a large black shooters hut. Looking through the windows we saw a lovely barn owl lying on the floor, what a shame. It must have gone down the chimney and couldnt get out. Hopefully the shooters will put something over the chimney stack when they see the dead owl.

50 years ago was the heatwave summer, wasn’t it? I was a very wee nipper and too young to remember.

Yes.

That's when all the cheap baby clothes were made of nylon and my skin doesn't cope well in synthetic fabrics, so my parents had to buy cotton clothes which were more expensive. I've never been allowed to forget that I cost more than expected :emoticon-0111-blush

Only place I could put this to be fair, and it's very alarming..

Discussion in work around what we like to get from Greggs, and we mostly agree on either a Steak Bake or Sausage Roll. However, the sausage roll discussion has become heated, so I need to level heads to chime in...(Yes you guys and gals are level headed)

Anyway, a work colleague has said whenever he gets a sausage roll from Greggs or anywhere, he has to have either a tub of Ketchup or HP sauce with him, as he likes sauce on his Rolls...so

Does anyone here like sauce on their sausage rolls? Or is it a weird thing that my work colleague is the only one partaking in

Not me. Eat it as it comes. And thanks for saying I am level headed. Possibly one of the nicest things anyone has ever said about me <laugh>
