the mersey derby...

what is up with the fans, only real 'atmosphere' is having a go at the ref, very little singing support from either set.

Had a go at doing a hand casting of me and the Mrs. Pretty easy to do, and quite pleased with how it came out.
Comes out white, but airbrushed it with metallic steel colour today and stuck it on a bit of waxed oak.
Just thought it would be a nice little keepsake.

Only found out relatively recently that boiling water kills weeds as effectively as weed killer, more so in a way because it doesn't matter if it rains afterwards and you can see results instantly, although the plant isn't dead yet the leaves wilt and shrivel right up.

Make sure the root gets a good watering and it'll kill anything, the heat distorts the plant's cells.

Think it costs 5p or so to fill and boil a kettle so by my reckoning it's a fair bit cheaper than buying chemicals unless you're doing a huge area.

White vinegar , salt and washing up liquid supposed to be good ( check for ratios). Salt to dry out , wash up liquid helps it stick and not get washed off , acid in vinegar kills and apparently makes soil / dirt infertile for future seeds and spores

I listened to someone on the radio this morning and they said something like, by next October our energy bills in the UK will have risen by 180% and energy bills in France have risen in the same period by 40% and are now capped so they won't rise any further (I might have the figures wrong in my dotage, but it was a massive difference). Ours is also going up again in January 2023 and April 2023 if there is no intervention.

france generates way more nuclear energy.

I didn't realise that Nordic, just had a quick look at the numbers, nuclear energy production in France is pretty impressive, it would take us years to get to their level.

The queen under medical supervision according to the palace.

Doesn't sound good for her

Is sounding ominous for her.

Like it's been said, she's had a hell of innings
