I'd looked on the Multi Agency web page about the fair and it tells you loads about stopping places etc but nothing whatsoever about what actually goes on.
Just go on Google and put in Appleby horse fair. You’ll get the idea mate.I'd looked on the Multi Agency web page about the fair and it tells you loads about stopping places etc but nothing whatsoever about what actually goes on.
I reckon it’s one of the main reasons for the meet up, to be fair you can avoid all the scrapping if you keep your eyes open. It’s very enjoyable if you can manage that.Police had to hold a line to stop two families scrapping on Saturday. Looks like a wonderful weekend.
Yesterday, i was reading on a different post about a lad frightened to fart in case he had an accident and I thought about adding to it but decided against. But in view of this being new I’ve decided to lower the tone a little.
I once worked in an office that was one long room divided into 2 by a floor to ceiling glass partition, but the heating system was all one. One day one of the lads was leaning against the radiator and shredded a tremendously loud fart through it which vibrated along the pipes into the other side, from where an alarmed female voice demanded to know “what on earth was that!?” We all doubled up except for the red faced culprit who refused to enlighten her. Just thought I’d add this for what it’s worth.

Love it.A few years ago, I had an old, 8 foot long home made planter in the garden and needed shot of it. I had noticed that a large bee kept going in and out of one of the corners, so was a bit nervous about emptying it, and then breaking it up thinking that there might be a bees nest in there. As it turned out there was nothing there...nothing at all.I’ve got a bee living in my garage. Everytime I open the door it hovers back forwards for a little while then flies out. But next time I open the door it’s there again. I like bees. They’re industrious, inoffensive and furry. And their spit is sweet. Anyone any idea why it would want hang around my dark and smelly garage?
That is very enlightening, and interesting, thanks Snaggey. I always thought all bees either lived as colonies in hives or nests. This is the first I’ve heard of solitary bees. So that is what the lonely little fella is. Still think a garage stinking of rubber and exhaust is a strange place for him to choose to live in.A few years ago, I had an old, 8 foot long home made planter in the garden and needed shot of it. Apparently they are called "solitary bees" which are a bit different to other bees.
I have copied a link...hope it works.
