RE; Facebook/Twitter...

It is what you make it. Nobody forces you to become friends or follow the numpties. If they post **** you don't like then defriend/unfollow them.

I had heard exercise isn't your thing but there's a different way you have to burn calories <whistle>

Someone's been lying to you then ;)

I play football three times a week and I've just (loosely used) completed the three peaks challenge in 11hrs :)

That's another question: where's the funniest or most unexpected ? place you've ever posted on here from?

I was alerted to a trend on youtube where youngsters have their own 'channel' where they record themselves in bed, shopping, eating their tea, walking along ... anything really and some of them have millions of followers, really. Sitting watching someone you don't know but feel you know because they let you see them doing whatever it is they're doing all day long.

There's a whole generation of voyeurs out there <yikes>

Few famous youtube vloggers (that's the term) in Brighton. They earn shed loads of cash if they are successful through advertising on their channel though...

So I've heard, something like 1p per advert, multiply that by 1m views <yikes> The really successful ones are earning £500,000 a year. Who'd have thought. It's completely insane.

Yeah something like 20k an advert they normally make if they have enough viewers etc.

To to be fair though it's a far more targeted way of advertising, shove it on tv and you hit a wide range of people on varying ages etc, most of which won't be your target.

However if they're doing make up tutorials and get 1m views 900k of them are going to be from teenage girls so advertisers are pretty much directly targeting their audience.

The whole smart phone thing, if you like your kids don't let em have one. Or a pregger with a smart phone sitting on her stomach, she's microwaving the baby and herself, microwaves change proteins

Reason being a while back I looked for a scientific paper stating the save dose of microwaves for children, and I found nothing. There is no safe dose.

There are many papers that show the damage that microwaves can to do an unborn kid or young children as kids are not mini adults, they are physiologically very different. There are not many legit studies on phones but if you actually read the warnings on your iphones.. ;) but the signal is microwaves and that area of reserach, would kinda open your eyes.

End result, microwaves not good for kids.

That was about 10 weeks ago, I banned the tablet and phone use for the kids and they are not allowed stand within near the wifi
Added bonus, they are now having to use their imaginations a lot more. No more whinging for the tablet <laugh> They now play with toy they didn't touch when they had the tablets

Microwaves are dangerous for adult women too...

... Turns them into terrible cooks.

I almost never use my phone to "talk" and when I do it's for 10 or 15 mins tops. I've never liked talking on a phone.

yeah me neither except when I used to have to take the duty mobile home with me <grr>
But phone small talk is not my thing, especially with people that know me. Any atempt to engage me in that **** is met with much angry silence <laugh>

You are married. You just didn't have a wedding.

You are common-law married. Even if that doesn't really mean much in UK.

Maybe so, but she signed a document that gives her zero entitlement to my possessions :)

(we'd only been together a few months when I bought the house)
