Losing Ashworth is a major defeat ... it tells the world and our own players that Newcastle is still a small fry operation and to leave to pursue their ambition.
.

Does it? It more tells the world that Man Us recruitment has been a ****ing joke, and they're having to follow our recruitment policy to catch up.

The take over will make us big not Ashworth, we bought Trippier and Bruno before Ashworth came along, and he's done okay, but hardly earth shattering, and this summer wasn't great.

If he wants to go then whatever, we'll replace him. He had a great opportunity here, and he's decided to give it up for a club that have been a shadow of themselves for the last 10 years+.

Man United have been missing key players all season , but unlike Newcastle haven't used it as an excuse every week. They will push for top 4 now mate.

It's the message this sends which is that Newcastle are still just a club to be feasted on by far bigger clubs... they can just take whatever they want and all the information with it whenever they want.

The Newcastle players he has helped bring here will be thinking lol so he brings me here and ****s off to bigger and better things.

Howe has too much say because of a perfect storm season and Amanda Staveley. His brother as a ****ing scout?! Bournemouth physio?! Jesus it’s like going back to Shepherd and his son.

We are still very much stuck in a small team mentality. Howe was a small time appointment that’s now got out of control as he’s got the keys to the kingdom. You can see the small mindedness in matters like Burn, the injuries, the £100m spend on young British subs who don’t get a game.
For wind ups Roly, you need to do tons better.

If not a wind up……..?

Firstly, you have absolutely no idea as to who has what say inside the Club. Nor do I but, at least, I accept that and don’t claim to have the inside line and make assumptions and proclamations with assertions of such knowledge.

Just about every manager wants people he knows and trusts around him. Think Sir Alex if you want for family connections it didn’t stop him being a top manager.

Howe was never a small time appointment. He may be initial phase appointment but not small time. Doubt you were claiming that when we escaped relegation and then got into the CL. As for Burn I can’t think of one manager who has been immune to the claim of favourites from any Club’s fans. And as far as injuries are concerned quite a few other managers have the same issue including Klopp so does that apply to them as well?

Other than Hall I’m struggling with the young British talent who can’t get a game.

As said earlier, must do better. Facts might be a useful addition at times.

Man U have been a massive clusterfuck ever since Ferguson left, the odd season better than others, but never anywhere near challenging for the title. Like us, 4th is a decent target for them next season, but they're miles off competing with City and Liverpool.

This season there's been players missing, but the likes of Casemiro and Fernandes have been dire compared to what they were last season.

Plus a recent history of transfer disasters with Antony, Sancho etc...Ashworth has got his work cut out there, and I'm not sure he appreciates how tough it will be.

No consistency, awful December results and seriously struggled against Newport County.

Their recent results have been better, but then so have ours. They'll finish above us due to better squad depth and our injuries being worse, but they ain't all that and are far worse than they were last season.

Have you been watching them ? They're doing very well and not far off top 4 now. They win games mate and the entire club has turned a corner.

Hoyland 5 in 5 , Garnacho coming on well and maino is class.. 3 young players aswel. Then Casemiro is back and upto speed...they look solid.

I know it's hard to accept, but Newcastle are **** mate... Well not as good as Man united that's for sure..... nufc are a mid table side imo.

We are ****, but results are results - 3 wins and 2 drawers from last 5 games is pretty remarkable considering how awful previous form was, and how bad the injuries are.

If we keep getting the points then there's all to play for.

The thing is we played Luton forest and Bournemouth and all 3 should have beaten us. I was expecting us to win the games.

Next game is Arsenal away so we aren't getting anything there and more ground will be lost.
Lose the game with wolves and I think people will start to see where the side is.

Arsenal are flying, so I'm writing that one off. Blackburn I'm FA Cup, then Wolves, Chelsea and Palace is a good run for us after that though.

Thought we'd lose to Villa and Forest and we won, so I don't mind **** performances Vs Luton and Bournemouth cos at least they yielded points. Simple fact is we've racked up points with crappy performances, so I'll take that right now.
