None - 2026 is going to be the first 48 team World Cup, and as a result 3 extra teams from North America are eligible for qualification (used to be 3 teams automatically plus a playoff spot, now will be 6 autos)
The 48 team expansions goes like this:
UEFA - 13 teams to 16 teams
AFC - 4 teams plus one play off place to 8 teams
CAF - 5 teams to 9 teams
CONCACAF - 3 teams plus one play off to 6 teams
CONMEBOL - 4 teams plus one play off to 6 teams
OFC - 1 play off spot to 1 team
A new play off format is going to be put in place which fills the remaining 2 places.

In fact does that even work properly or will it result in that stupid as **** formula wenhad at the last euro's?
It will likely last another week at least.
They're switching from 8 groups of 4 teams to 16 groups of 3 teams, the top 2 in each group going through to a Round of 32.
3 team groups guarantees teams colluding to both qualify while the other team isn't playing. It's a certainty.
I now hate the World Cup, the euro's, the premier league and beginning to hate the championship.
I'm going to watch golf, darts and snooker instead.

Iran have no boots for the World Cup, apparently new US sanctions prevent them being supplied with US products, so Nike have had to take the boots home again.

Since USA hosted World Cup games are mainly at NFL stadiums, does that mean them games will be played on an artificial pitch or will it be changed to grass temporarily?
The Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow has artificial grass for the current tournament.
It’s not been decided yet, that is in a few weeks. With the tournament going upto 48 teams I expect them to decide to give each team a place
Can not wait to go watch games in Edmonton, the 2015 WC was fantastic watching the girls get 3rd place then partying with them afterwards
