Is Welsh a language?

I always thought it was merely a dialect of Indian, because every time I’ve told a joke that required me to effect a Welsh accent I’ve always ended up sounding Indian.

That’s an awful wum attempt, Even by your low standards.
 
Nearby though, along that top coast. I can tell from your accent as I have family up that way.

Still reckon it's towards Snowdonia, Ffestiniog way or thereabouts.

Along the north coast they sound more or less scouse, until you get to Conwy. He don't sound like that.

I know Steve Mayo ... he went on to play Tenadier in Les Mis in the West End .. he was in same class at school with the other half's brother and cousin and also Eve Miles (wid) ...

I also wid Eve Miles, nearly put her on the wid ye thread but forgot.

I also know one, Sion Williams. Now works for the family business, they were our recent sub contractor.
