Mate, this would work a lot better if people couldn't scroll up and see what you've already said.
I'm quite happy for them to do that. It's a give away when people drift to the personal when faced with uncomfortable other opinions.
It was all very predictable, and it'd take too long to educate you so I'll leave you feeling smug with your limited understanding.![]()

Yes.
Grew up in a council house wih one open coal fire, i remember the introduction of smokeless zones and having to buy cleaner burning fuels. When i left school in the late 1970s i didnt know anyone who had even been to a foreign country let alone been on a plane. Having a car was a luxury that few on our street had.
And yet here we are today been told by the kids that we are responsible for the climate emergency as they sit by their wood burning stove looking out at their two cars in the driveway planning their next foreign holiday.
But isn't that completely anecdotal? People obviously travelled by plane in the 70s and buses and trains were in full use in many countries. Cars were horribly pollutant and fridges were using CFCs. Granted cars weren't as available as they are now, but it wasn't as though there was a shortage of them.
I don't think assigning blame to any generation is beneficial, because it's patently obvious there's a problem now, regardless of who causes it and we should be trying to prevent it from getting worse, instead of inventing reasons to ignore it.

To solve something, you first need to understand it, and then understand the consequences of any mitigation measures.![]()
Yeah that doesn't work. You quoted Balkan's gotcha moment, you knew what he was trying to say by getting me to sound like a hypocrite and you added to it with the "Or have enjoyed the benefits fossil fuels brought mankind, which seem to get missed off the risk assessment calculations." bit, at least stand by your bullshit instead of attempting to put it on my inference.
I haven't got personal with you at all, climate change denial is total bullshit; that's not an opinion, it's a stone cold fact, backed up by the scientific community and nearly every other human being on the planet who can sense heat and cold. My opinion is that I agree with the scientists, it's here and it needs sorting out.
“If Roman grow grape in York 2,000 year ago, why is global warming made by man?”
Important questions asked by the brain trust.
As I mentioned previously, there is little point carrying on a conversation, when you are simply arguing against your own preconceptions rather than engaging with the comments actually made.
You were always going to do that, and it's really not all that interesting or informative.![]()
The English in that post doesn’t suggest the involvement of a brains trust.

House swap? I'll be coming the other wayShe's up there at the moment, she said it's "tapps aff" weather, which sounds warm. We said if Scotland gets its independence we'd move there though.
