"It is understood that Daniel Levy will insist on staying at [HASHTAG]#Tottenham[/HASHTAG] in the event of any future sale.
He is in it for the long haul".
And your opinions on it (Nagelsmann : yes or no) ??
Yes imo
plays the football the fans crave so we can’t have that excuse anymore
So you are happy with that, even if it means no "trophies" ??
Good discussion guys!
I have nothing else to say.
Unusually.

Exactly right. I've asked many times on here for a list of plausible owners or chairmen with evidence of their success in improving a football club and the answer so far is exactly none. There is some wisdom in this but I do think it is much, much harder to find that sought-after person/people with 'experience and expertise' than we think it is, largely because the 'business' of football is so wildly detached from the normal models of economics, quite literally existing in its own version of reality, like some sort of parallel universe where it is normal to get paid half a million a week for kicking a ball around.
Perhaps Blackburn are a good example of this. On paper, VH Group (Venky's) takover from the Trust left behind by Jack Walker was a good idea. The new owners oversaw a portfolio of 28 companies across the globe, compared to Walker who made his fortune focusing on just the steel industry. Arguably, the new owners possessed greater business experience and expertise, and yet their tenure at Rovers has largely been an unmitigated disaster. I read recently that the club posted its first profit in 10 years in December, which is catastrophically bad.
Is that because the people at Venky's are morons? Well, the fact that they built a portfolio with a turnover of close to £1bn per year suggests otherwise. It is more likely that the entered a world that is technically a business but at the same time is very much its own universe with its own laws of physics, and they shat the bed as a result.

If ENICs decision making was actually below average then the list would include the owners of more than half the other clubs in the world.Just because people want Levy/ENIC replaced doesn’t mean they have a list of owners they want
That doesn’t come as a necessity or a condition for wanting a change…we know change is required…we can have that conversation when/if that becomes a realistic possibility
You’re still paranoid about Alan Sugar so I expect you and others will have a list compiled of the worst possible candidates though.
If ENIC sold up to idiots that would be down to ENIC too and there would be no qualms in adding that to ENICS list of disasters
especially not from me
Once again this is a method used by Levy apologists as if not having a list justifies ENICS decision making
Tend to agree with this. ENIC have done many great things for our club. BUT the lack of trophies is their black holeI am not any sort of apologist. The data tells me that ENIC have improved Spurs more than most owners have improved their clubs.
Completely agree. But I don't think this is down to bad management.Tend to agree with this. ENIC have done many great things for our club. BUT the lack of trophies is their black hole
