They won't. Our price is so ridiculous to other clubs that nobody will go that high. Anything less than £75-80M makes him more precious to us.
Besides, Saints don't even talk about offers or prices. They talk about pairing him and growing him with our other CBs. That's hardly the talk of a club that's concerned with losing him.

Talk is cheap.

Don't understand <confused><confused> if Klopp wants Sakho out because he's got attitude why then want to sign someone that's also got attitude He could save himself £30m plus by keeping Sakho :emoticon-0136-giggl

Indeed it is, whatever that's supposed to mean, when talking is all they can do in the situation.

I take it you'd prefer they said nothing then, and kept some of our more excitable Saints fans on the verge of cardiac arrest.? ;)

No, I'm just saying that I don't take their words as a strong proof. They issued similar statements plenty of times before, and the player would then leave shortly after.

But that being said, it really seems that this time they stayed true to their word.

Well they have explained themselves enough times this close season why we can accept that they mean what they say this time. In seasons past they have desired to keep the players, but always there was a price, because they were trying to balance the books. Now there isn't one that can be reached that would be acceptable to the buying club. Saints simply don't need the cheap money and will be keeping the players they want to keep. I don't think they can be clearer than that. Somewhere along the line we have to start believing.

Yeah if a team bids and we reject then I don't think they would bid, it is only if another club has a bid accepted that they would match it. If this happened then I think it is highly unlikely that we would reject Liverpools bid and accept only the other clubs if they made an identical offer, the club is a business at the end of the day and not run by fans looking to get one over on Liverpool

Just a lot of egg on faces of some.
