If Pulis were to leave (though unlikely in reality) then Moyes would be an ideal replacement if Coates could persuade him.

Moyes would go to a bigger club if he left Everton, don't get me wrong i'd be doing somersaults if he came to Stoke.

Its not about who could do any better guys, that fuels the pro TP argument! Its about who couldn't do any worse but restore some charisma to our club!

A person like Moyes would be great for us.
I think he would reduce the average age in the team (which is good) e.g after we already brought in Butland, Shea and are eyeing up Alonso

I'd love Moyes but I dont think its a realistic - he's looking for a move up and not down - unless he is promised 100 million to build a new squad which is highly unlikely!

I am thinking along the lines that I would give anyone a chance and there must be plenty of foreign managers who would snap up the opportunity to manage in the prem and introduce a better brand of football - Swansea being the prime example. Di Matteo is available (as is Dicanio (spelling) and just maybe Martinez could be convinced on the basis that he is likely to be in another dog fight till the last game of the season. Failing that I would be quite happy to look down the leagues, Hollaway or Warnock for example or even Lennon from Celtic.

Anyone with a bit of passion rather than someone who just balls and shouts and is a negative whinger! My gut says that TP will go to a director of football and someone like Rafa, Hughes or Big Sam would be appointed - although having said that I dont think Hughes would work with TP!

TP moving upstairs is a possibilty Smithers, but I personally wonder what such a role entails. The second point is who WOULD work with Pulis. All conjecture of course and it could be that nothing changes in the foreseable future.

Redmond would be a good purchase :) and TP has already been interested by him
He would be good because we need a replacement for Etherington and then in the future Pennant

I agree whole heartedly, I think big Sam could work with the players we have and produce a better standard of football as we still need the grit to go with the style.

Moyes would be my first choice but I can't think of a single reason why he would come.

I am surprised we haven't tried signing Sterling on loan as we need a good winger.
Moyes is highly unlikely, Benitez is moderately likely and Adkins and Ole (Molde manger) are likely
Personally if we got Jol I wouldn't like it as he signs really old players who are decreasing in skill!

I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread purely for transfer gossip and rumours. It will keep the board tidy and people can just add their ideas, or press articles as and when.

    I'll start with this:

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-transfer-news-crystal-palace-1798415

Crystal Palace boss Ian Holloway wants to sign old boy Charlie Adam - if his Eagles fly to the Premier League.
Holloway is keen to be re-united with his old Blackpool star who is having a miserable time at Stoke City since joining from Liverpool.
Midfield schemer Adam is out of Tony Pulis’s side and unlikely to get back in ahead of a possible summer sale from the Britannia.
Holloway tried to take Adam on loan for his promotion-chasing side last week and is set to return with a bid to buy him from his old pal Pulis.
Adam is also keen to play and may consider his future, with his status at the Potters affecting his place as a starter with the Scotland international team.
Palace are having a wobble as they try to clinch promotion and Holloway hoped to land Adam to see him through - like he did with his Blackpool team three years ago.
But Adam will be top of Holloway’s shopping list in the next window if Palace can pull off the step to the top flight, probably through the play-offs.

What a waste for us in not playing him.

Great post Stokie lad sums it up very well. And now in today's press Lynsey Parsons has said " I hate the way we play" to which Pulis replied.
" I'll have a word with him later, we've had a few arguments over the years" Bloody hell!
