Walcott, Sanchez, giroud, oxocube, ozil, Cazorla - that's the type of player we have in our forward positions. I'd only have Suarez from the three to play for us. Maybe Sturridge as a back-up to Giroud but he's too injury prone to consider a first choice option. Sterling and Sturridge certainly wouldn't walk into the Arsenal team.

I suppose the season before last when you still had Suarez we didn't have Sanchez, so one if sterling or Sturridge would of found it easier to get a squad place but I wouldn't bet on them being auto first 11 that season either. I don't think there is much between sterling and oxocube, Walcott is better than either and having one of Cazorla or ozil out wide was common place that season.

As for replacing Sanogo, he's a youth who was getting his first opportunities to show what he's got before being shipped out on loan. Most premiership players would hope to get into the team ahead of him!

Your first point is mute as Sanchez wasn't at your club then.

And as a front 3, those 3 players were better than anything else in the Prem (with possible exception of City). You'd take them three above Walcot Giroud Ozil front 3 no question. Those 3 scored 60 Prem goals between them, if you said you wouldn't take that ahead of anything else in the league then you're deluded.

Moot.

Sterling is just as toxic now as his ****er agent. We need to cut him out like the cancerous growth he's become. Let's hope City don't start faffing around, they should come in with a solid bid and rid us of him. One thing's for sure, Sterling will not go on to be a superstar, he's not got the mentality of a winner - unlike Suarez.

One possibility here is sterling doesn't get sold and ends up sacking his agent.

If i were city i'd be thinking twice as he's not just sending strong come get me signals which can be done much easier, he is looking a bad pro and a sulk and as such I would say the queue for him has dropped to just city at best now.

thing is, City are probably speaking to his Agent and pushing for Sterling to push for an exist so they won't be bothered about any of this

I've no doubt they have talked to his agent.

They may have indeed said push for an exit.

But i've no doubt the manner is which sterling is acting is not what they would expect.

Berahino has left ward as an agent so that speaks volumes.

Football is not boxing and i reckon this guy has a very limited shlf life as an agent now. He seems only interested in a certain "type" of player as well... you cn figure that out so I think anyone with a decent family would be warning their kid off this guy as well.

Sterling's career can go either way right now. He's got to buck up his ideas if city do come in. if they don't i can see him playing championship in a couple years.

Bit far <laugh>

wanna bet?

no seriously look at SWP.

probably only played 10/15 games ayear max at cit and chelsea and ended up going to qpr. ok he didn't go to the championship except for relegation but...

well put it this way. sterling can't shoot for ****. can't cross much either. his asset is pace....

It would be a long long road to redemption if that was the case. He would have to sack his agent > then sign the contract we offered him > say he was sorry he was a scrote bag and will now knuckle down > then start banging in the goals pronto.

i doubt that he will do any but its now thursday and no city bid so i think they are sitting back and playing the long game now and all lfc's plans are no up in smoke as we were waiting for that money.

I think thats reality.

Sterling is a far better player and has more to his game than SWP

really?

pace.
strength

not dissimilar.

whats sterling got.

finish? nope
cross? nope
height? nope

SWP got 30 off england caps. wasn't a bad player just wanted cash.

Probably quicker
Far stronger
Better defensively
Can play in more than 1 position

Probably been trained better in terms of short intricate passing from his time with us

Although he can't finish, he is a better finisher than SWP and probably has more goals already than SWP

not sure he is quicker.
not sure he is stronger
may well be better defensively.. when he was willing to listen and work
more positions? I thought sterling was a poor no 9. he played well behind two strikers but could have been made look good doing it. SWP played both wings but was limited. I'd give you a maybe so.

SWP played for city when they were up and down to championship

he came of age a wee bit later with city but in final two seasons got 10 and 7 goals for them in prem for a total off 11 goals each year

Sterling has got SHOCK 10 and 11 goals total for LFC in past two years

I will not give you goals.

SWP ruined himself by chasing city moeny and then going beck to city as a sub. He halved his goal return by going to chelsea

nope, nor will he for quite some time.

CIty will finish their tour before the reutrn i reckon.

LFC would want to get a bank loan and buy lacazette now... bascially LFc still have not resolved the big issue in our side upfront.

Can't see that just yet.
Worst case scenario, imo, is a Balotelli-like situation where a number of clubs play Pass The Parcel with him- each thinking they're the ones who can make the talent shine through the personality issues.
On the other hand, he might fool us all and do really well.
