I am not just talking about the money, from what I understand he wanted a longer deal than Ehab was prepared to give him. It was more to do with how the whole thing was handled, he felt that he was being disrespected not sitting down with him and his agent.
Come off it john, this is crap. This was always about a player getting a bigger contract than we could offer. Whether that's amount a week, length of contract or relegation clauses.

We aren't able to compete with clubs like west ham. Simple as.

Snodgrass joined us and unfortunately got a serious injury. Since he came back he has been head and shoulders our most consistent player and is he reason that we are not cut adrift at the bottom.

Ok he's said he wants to leave - he'll get paid more money but he was also very clear that our esteemed owners didn't deal with his upcoming contract very well at all.

Good luck to him and he should be treated with a solid round of applause and appreciation next time he plays against us.

I was with you till the last line, players who play for us are our hero's those who play for another team are the enemy ( ****s ) to be booed and hissed at like the panto villain

See Billy Bremner as a prime example.

Agreed. But the billy Bremner thing... how many times did billy play against us? He signed for us in 76, I think.
Castro??

Still no one answers my question about why we didn't just say 'sorry kid, you're staying until the end of the season, but we'll let you go at the end of the season'?

Ehab's trousers were a bit lop sided with only one pocket full of cash. In collecting the cash for Snodger he's got an, alleged, guaranteed £6.2m now with more to follow to stick in his other pocket & level him up a bit.

Old Mama Allam does the ironing on a Sunday whilst watching re-runs of Little House in the Prairie, 321 & Bullseye. Little Ehab will have clean, nicely pressed, trousers on for "work" this morning with two more empty pockets that will need filling.

Who's gonna fund his pocket money this week?

They know they ****ed up any realistic chance they had of selling the club when they ****ed about prospective buyers with Del Trotter like selling skills earlier in the season.

They've now realised their Summer investment policy was wrong & has severely hampered our chances of survival. The knock on is that it's also put a serious dent in the value of their asset.

They're now cashing in as much they can whilst they can. Snodger wouldn't be worth as much in the Summer, if we're in the Championship & all asset stripped out. They're selling employees & replacing them from the short term temp agency. Taking out loans, using their training facilities & future income as security.

They're stripping the club naked & getting ready to scarper.

Who's next out?

Reckon it'll be a Scottish type.

Yes, 1976 Chazz. The only time Bremner could have played against us was in Chillo's testimonial but he was the only first team player Revie didn't start with and he wasn't a sub, maybe due to injury.
Notable for a penalty been given for a foul on Norman Hunter by Ken Houghton of all people.Anyone remember what was different about the subsequent penalty?

This is a club issue, not a Snodgrass issue, Ehab being a moron is going to continue to cause us issues with players.

Extending all the players contracts, without even bothering to notify them fitst, is simply piss poor management.

Soon we're going to lose Tymon, a player who was very keen to stay with us, because we offered him a deal, withdrew the offer and then offered a **** deal. Tymon isn't leaving because we can't afford him, he's leaving because we ****ed the job up.

I wouldn't trust Ehab to run a ****ing bath.

And yet the Bowen deal was completed no problem. Same as the Hudd deal. Same as the Elmo deal.
There's two sides in any deal.
Tymon s lot are asking more than we can commit. If we sell robbo we can keep Tymon. It's a tough call.

What would you do?

Another 50% on top of your wage....Playing in front of 40k t0 50k each week..As opposed to 17k tops.
A brand new state of the art stadium.....
Playing for a pair of £uck-wits like the Alarms

Its a no brainer..
Good luck Snoddy.

Makes you wonder who's next....Marco Silva probably..

Snodders feels the pain of being stuffed by Citeh.

Im torn as to how I see Snodders.
I can see why ppl hate him cos of the whole 'refusing to train', but I can see why he did that - self preservation cos of his injury that he suffered.
All he wanted was a longer contract, which we couldnt offer him...............

Patty, when did he refuse to train? Do you any direct or primary evidence for this 'fact'?

Wasn't it passed by the penalty taker for someone else to score (possibly Jack Charlton?)

Indeed it was. Before more famous ones.

Also noticeable for the experiment where there was no offside. 45 minutes which shows what a daft idea is is of .Van Basten to abolish offside.

Also memorable for McKehnie playing on the wing and crossing the ball better than any recent wingers we have had. Though he did start his career as a winger.
